Hold on tight! Here we go!! Nikon82uk has created a Gamerscore Challenge titled 'Dont Look at Me XIV'... and 57 gamers have joined up to throw down. Playing for achievements in a poker game sucks....
hitchman...i already downloaded it, am going to wait until they actually have some good arcade games getting released considering they say they'll have over 1,000 arcade games that they want to release to Game Room....hopefully they will get smart and realize Intellivison and Atari 2600 games ARE NOT good Arcade choices...though i don't get my hopes up that Microsoft will be smart,
All I want right now in Game Room is arcade stands of Mortal Kombat 1-3 and ultimate MK, TMNT and TMNT in Time Arcade, X-men Arcade, NBA JAM, WWE Wrestlemania, Royal Rumble and WWE Superstars the arcade game, Marvel vs Capcom 1 @ 2, Street Fighter vs X-men and all the other Street Fighter games....you know...real quarter killers, not some cheap crappy arcade games. I mean...come on...Finalizer? Atari games? really? What about Pac Man? Joust? Ghosts and Goblins? games like that which are worth paying money for? grrr....

Thanks for the heads-up hitchman. I almost have all my games up to 100% and my goal is to eventually 100% them all.. only problem is a game that I own with 4 glitched achievements (naruto).. It sucks that I'll never get my 100% :( before is started whoring for this competition I was on 98.50% completion or so :) Will try for 99% when this challenge is over!
Completionists beware!!!!! Do not download Game Room unless you want to spend about 7000+ microsoft points on the game. it is a free download, but you have to buy games to get most of the achievements. i downloaded it and started it up and it gives you an automatic achievement for 5 pts, thus, locking it into your gamertag. you have to earn medals for achievements and you can only get 1 medal per game. you have to get 48 medals, which means that in theory you have to download or play 48 games (ranging from 40pts to 400pts depending on if you want 1 play or unlimited plays).
Just a warning to those who may be interested. i got suckered in by the free download and now im locked into it.
my scoring has slowed down thanks to Mass Effect2...but no bad really its a great game, even the IFF mission. Horde mode anyone?
I'm not offended or bent out of shape...I just kind of don't want to lose 700+ days in a row of gameplay, not to mention being #56 so far on the streak list which took me about over two years to acquire...just don't want to lose all the work for some website or dashboard mistake is all.
i really dont understand why people get so bent out of shape about a streak really. i understand in say sports getting a goal in every game in 10 yeh. but i played my xbox 500 days straight. O.K.

Yeah, like Kirk said, if there is a game update, you've got to go back to the dashboard after the update is installed, otherwise it won't pick it up as the last game played on your console (or here on 360voice). It's a horrible way to lose a play-streak, but it has happened to folks!
&ElNerdo, what they recommend somewhere on the site (and it has worked for me) is that I go to the dashboard and then check my profile for my most recent games. If on the XBox it says "Borderlands, last played 23/03/10" (or whatever) then you are good. Probably about 1/4 of the time my XBox doesn't pick up that the game was played (so I just have to re-start the game and then go back to the dashboard until it catches)
So...has anyone noticed a problem with the memory system or w/e remembering what games you play on the day to day? i played Borderlands and Scene It yesterday and acquired 35GS, but it only remembers the gamerscore and not the games played...had I not gotten points i would have lost my streak....wtf is going on? Do I need to email someone?
Whoa looks like I've fallen by the wayside! Not surprising considering Heavy Rain, having a mental weekend in Wales and a not entirely unrelated week in the hospital lol. Couldn't seem to find the need to cheev ho either.

I have over 50 unplayed games. Kind of crazy. But then again I own 195 games.
Any free time coming up Ubertoast? I'm switching jobs in a few weeks, and will have 14 days off between them. Lot's of time to open up some games.
@Nikon & @Jeroen - I know how you both feel... I've gone a bit overboard, but am making a bit of progress, I'm now down to 22 unopened games on my shelf (down from 25). I've been on a bit of a buying kick recently. I really should get back to playing, but I just don't feel like racing through games at the moment - I've put up 25-30K GS in the past few months and just need a break.
@Nikon: I know how u feel... have been going on a shopping spree the last couple of days. As of now I have 11 unopened games... aaargh.

i can see at least 4 on my bookshelf right now problem is with working stupid hours i normally sleep well into the day maybe a hour before work then 2 - 3 hours when i get home i just dont have as much time as i would like.
My week of holidays are coming up so I plan to pick up three or four cheap games and do some serious gaming in the next week. I won't be making a charge for the top, but maybe top 15. That said, I want to make some progress on Mass Effect 1 and Oblivion this week so I may end up with nothing for points this week too.

yeh we have had this fallout 3 crap before. its a stupid pc game that really should not have had the ability to cheat achievements from a console by typing impulse 101 hang on that was quake 1, so its been done before not much we can do.
but as we have said before everyone can buy these games not as if there cheating.
i myself before the challange raided play.com and almost picked up fallout 3 for pc but never did. how ever i was going to be a bit more clever and go add 1 - 10 one day the 11 - 20 another lol no one would suspect a thing lol

Why play in a GS challenge if you don't want people to challenge you with easy games?
Anyone can buy/rent these games if they want so it is not like they have cheated.
Fallout 3 PC is actually pretty standard practice. Usually at least one person does it each challenge,

Dante's inferno is a bit lower on my list to finish...really want to 100% lotr, assassins creed and wolverine first so I can trade em in for pennies!

@beezel single player for LOTR was kinda fun. I especially enjoyed mowing down the hobbits at the shire for one of the achievements.

Yeah dante's is really short.. and the DLC is a joke.. 400 points for 10 minutes of gameplay and a measely 40G!
OMG, Dante's Inferno is EPIC. Having so much fun with it now, too bad it's a really short game.

I only made ot through half of Astrix @ the olympics. It glitched on me and didn't give me credit for a bird. Haven't felt like starting over in it again. It went on the shelf next to Brave a warriors tale. One day I'll go back to it.

Yeah probably not going to happen (the 1000 days) because i just changed my gamertag to ElNerdoGarlendo, then found out it will probably kill my streak, emailed support here to save it but probably won't happen in time...grrr. I WISH I HAD OF KNOWN!!!

Ugh...I spent the last hour trying to beat "Run To The Hills" on Hard Drums in Rock Band and got to 85% three times (all with star power) and I choked all three times. Too frustrated...will try again tomorrow. There has to be an easier 90G than this :)

I am going to finish NCAA College Basketball 07, and then try to make lots of progress on all my guitar games (GH2, GH: Metallica, GH: Hits, Rock Band 1/Beatles). Beyond that, it will be Fallout 3, MUA2 and Oblivion. I am borrowing Batman: Arkham over the March Break and may pick up another game as the month progresses, but I am not going to have a lot of cheap points.
So, what games do people have lined up for this month? I have Dante's Inferno, Pirates, Bourne, CSI Hard Evidence, Kung fu Panda, Mass Effect 2, Assissin's Creed 2, Far Cry 2 and The Force Unleashed. Can any one donate 20 extra hours per day?
Ugh... Can't take any more of BlazBlue....Not getting good enough achievements from it anyway.

managed to get 2 lotr online achievements by myself. Entered a capture the ring match in rivendell and was able to collect 3 rings...for the 3 rings and highest score on winning team....very odd, wasnt able to recreate and I was the only one playing

Does anyone know when the badges will all be working again? My completed reatail and arcade badges have not been up for weeks. I've also noticed that others may be having the same problem.

to everyone who is trying to boost LOTR: Conquest, BEWARE! There is an anti-boosting group that almost always has people on that go from room to room to mess up your sessions.
i ran into them several times. they also follow from room to room.
One of my friends did some research amd found out that these guys were some sort of LOTR clan from back when the game was new.
I guess that no one told these guys that the online for this game sucks like a 2-bit wh*re.
