The Gamerscore Challenge titled May gamerscore challenge 2012 has come to a close, and the big winner is Sweenaldo 1985 with a final tally of 3,385 points in 21 days!
On the final day, the 13 challengers put up a total of 875 points. oo yungstar oo added 280, FailedSeppuku added 235, Sweenaldo 1985 added 175, Jurassic Parky added 55, theboy83uk added 50, T A IV K added 40, SolidHeart02 added 30, and FiDRoC added 10. A special congrats and thanks to the 12 other competitors.

This is the situation: Sweenaldo 1985 swung the whooping stick and took the lead by earning 170 points. All 13 participants combined, they put up a total gain of 1595 points. Inapplicable added 390, wonderfulwest added 305, FailedSeppuku added 240, theboy83uk added 200, Sweenaldo 1985 added 170, T A IV K added 160, oo yungstar oo added 100, and FiDRoC added 30. So yeah... Inapplicable's gamerscore jumped quite a bit eh? People better start looking over their shoulders.

It's a shame that comments get deleted St1ng r as when you posted disruptive comments in previous challenges they were left in place so you could have your say.
This comment will no doubt be deleted as well but while you no doubt have passion for these challenges you need to start showing it or they will die a slow death from lack of interest.

There not that bad, i have a Gold Medal guide on TA that's helpful enough to nail those last few golds.
I might go rent Battleship tonight ... depends how much Venetica takes over. It's suprisingly enjoyable for a glitchy, badly acted, turd graphics game.
Yeah mate, is a weird one, but its good fun. Should be finishing first playthrough today, then I can set about the next three haha.

Lot of negative comments on there at the moment - in truth if everyone who was complaining joined and tried to make this a success then it would be - the host is irrelevant, people not joining to prove a point will inevitably lead to reduced numbers, daily updates or not!

I agree West - Happy to post updates during the week over on the Xbox forums if someone else would be happy posting updates on a Saturday/Sunday on my behalf?
But open to any suggestions for making it better for people - But not open to people who don't join with their own interests causing trouble on here.
To say these challenges are a failure is a bit disrespectful to people who participate and win them every month!
I'm not against suggestions for improving things for people but will remove any negative comments from people who don't join but want to bash what we are doing - The aim of these challenges is to have fun and meet new people :)
This is what I'm saying with the winning scores being so low this is an ideal time to attract the casual gamer. But we do need fresh meat as having 15 odd people isnt as fun as when we had 30 to 40 gamers

With respect I shall continue to delete comments from people who feel like they can be a critic of these challenges not being a success and yet they never join to make them a "success".
I advertise these challenges over on the Xbox forums, but as they are so dead and hard to use no one really comments on them anyway - Happy to update every day if thats what people want, but not having people make us feel bad for not using them just because they are a moderator at said forum with an over inflated opinion of their own importance.
Also open to having this advertised on other forums/websites if people suggest some?
We can all boost numbers by talking to our friends about joining etc but if you want to build a sense of community I'm happy to organise a weekly gaming night to get people interested again :)
How about we start next Tuesday on Gears 3?
Its difficult to strike that balance, people look at past winners who have earned 10k plus and feel like they can't compete so don't join and yet when the scores are lower and anyone can win thats a bad thing also? Happy to discuss :)
Nah it would have to stay as singles otherwise it gets too complex. And yes I played Hannah Montana bit that was because of the year long gamers Long challenge I'm in and needed to score something quickly. These challenges anyone could have or win in the last few months as the winning score is about 4k

I was also wondering whether these challenges are able to be done in pairs? of a few teams? I'm not entirely sure how the set up would work though.
Yeah i agree with st1ngr in the last two months hardly anyone had played an easy 1000 GS game an it has mainly come down to who has played the most.
Holding game nights sounds like a good idea, also we need to do something to attract new people as it gets stale if its the same faces every month
Yeah still been plugging away at Gears 3 though I'm yet to find enough people to bash through it on Insane arcade :(

Don't really see many people playing the easy games the past few months hence the lower scores, last months winner has over 200k gamerscore so I doubt theres many "easy" games left to play!
That said i'm a firm believer in people being able to play whatever they wish to win - Once you start bringing in hard and fast rules about games people can play it becomes very subjective!
As long as we are all having fun then thats the main thing - Perhaps we could set us some gaming sessions? FIFA tournament? Gears 3 night?

I would suggest people stop playing lame easy points games just to win... In all the challenges I've been in, although I haven't won any, I've only played 'proper' games rather than grabbing any old tosh just to boost myself by 1000G. (such as this month, all my points are from Fifa Street, Trials Evo and now Deus Ex)
Maybe I'll grab Avatar... seeing as I've not played that yet. lol.
I'm happy to see my mate Surekill doing so well. It's not often he gets over a 1000 in a month... aim for that top 3 finish dude!!
