It isn't enough that they routinely shut down their servers on various games but in one game in particular Mercenaries 2, your Xbox cant even be connected to the internet to play it. If its connected the game will freeze your Xbox. Even worse if EA has known about this problem since 08. The issue with this is when it trys to connect to EA's servers for whatever reason that causes the freeze. Just had to rant a little about ym continueud disgust with the way EA handles their business. |

Ahh, never had it freeze that way, only when I tried accessing the multiplayer menu. I would try installing it like Dr.K suggested. At worse if you did not get to far into the game delete your game and start over, or copy the game to a USB stick, delete the game from your HD and start a new game to see if it still freeze. |

Don't expect an update since Pandemic Studios was shutdown long ago. |

It freezes when it gets to the main menu, I dont even have a chance to start a game. |

If you are trying to play co-op with someone you do not go through the multiplayer menu. Just load up your regular game and then you can send a game invite out to your friend. |

This problem happened to me. Mercs 2 was so very buggy and glitchy that I just gave up on it. Tons of issues with that game to the point that I don't think it should have been released without some more Q&A. |

It's not just him, it's a known problem. I've got a friend who can't play the game either because it needs an update to run, but freezes when trying to get the update. PoS game. |
