Cordless/batteries are the main issue I had before buying them, as well. So far, the fact that it's wireless is nicer than I thought it would be (didn't really see the point before), and the battery life doesn't seem to be a problem.
All I know is that I've done a fair amount of drumming so far and I'm still on the pair of batteries that came with the set. |

The new drums are fantastic, if any of you are wondering. There's not really THAT much different design-wise (frame is the same for the most part, although the crossmembers on the base are different so the kick pedal doesn't move when you move the kit around), but what is different helps a lot. The pads are a lot softer and quieter and most importantly, are extremely responsive (there's some crosstalk if you get the 'SL' set, but fortunately I got the 'EL's which are perfect). Also, the kick pedal has a different spring which eases the resistance a tad and makes it a lot smoother.
Oh, and RB2 rocks. I just wish they would let us view stars in the solo quickplay setlist, instead of score (which means nothing).
I agree. I got the new drums this past weekend when my Rb1 pedal broke and I couldn't be happier. They really are a hell of a lot quieter. I don't have any issues at all either, though I've read that the sets with crosstalk issues can be fixed very easily.
I'm also a big fan of the way the frame is designed now, where the bars on the bottom lock in to place and are shaped in a way that keeps the pedal on it even if you lift the set. Between that and the fact that it is wireless, it's now much more convenient to bring it out and back into a corner whenever you want to play / are done. |

Posted - Sep 15 2008 : 5:38:04 PM Well, my almost 5 year old likes it. We put on no fail mode, and he can hammer away on the drums with us. |

Posted - Sep 14 2008 : 5:12:42 PM I have been playing on both Guitar and Drums today and I really like it so far. I think even with the earlier songs, it seems to be more difficult than the first Rock Band. I also really like the new calibration tool. I'll post more thoughts when I have some more time with it. |

Posted - Sep 13 2008 : 4:13:09 PM Huh? I think it's perfectly fine to post the score. If they're interested enough to buy the game, they'll read the review. If not, oh well. |

Never post the score before people read the review, because that's usually what happens. They look at the score, and don't have second thought. |

I was thinking of doing that, but I want the game tomorrow, not on Tuesday or something :P
I think I'll just get the game and the drums and wait to see about the guitar. I might pick up the MadCatz M.I.C. though (Mic Including Controller). |
