We get a ton of email from people asking why they lost their streak badge. I am posting some helpful content here that explains WHY you might lose it and HOW you can keep it!

Why we miss the games you play
We pull all data about if you play or not starting at MIDNIGHT PST.

The only date we get from Microsoft for your gaming is LASTPLAYED. This means if you start playing a game at 6pm and stop at 7pm for dinner... then start playing again at 8pm and stop playing at 1am... the game WILL NOT COUNT because you played it OVER the midnight cutoff. The lastplayed date will not by the NEXT DAY and it won't appear in your blog.

How to prevent losing a streak
Before you play any major retail game, always play a little arcade game first for a few minutes. Pop in Geometry Wars or maybe Frogger... anything! Play that game... then exit to the dashboard... then put in your retail game. By starting and stopping a game during the day (before midnight!) you will ensure that you have AT LEAST ONE GAME that will show up in your blog... and your streak will be preserved.

Also, make sure you always log in to Xbox Live BEFORE starting any game. There have been reports that if you log in while inside the game, or if you have your system set to boot directly to the game without loading the dashboard first, it won't capture your game data until the next time you play the game.

So for extra safety, turn on your xbox to the dashboard, THEN launch your game.

Finally, always try to play more than one game. From experience it seems that there is a better chance of your gamer data being captured at Xbox.com when there is more than a single reason to do so.

By following these rules, you should be able to keep your streak going.

So I assume when Fish says he is turning off streaks for today that we all get to skip today but if we do earn achievements they will count towards other badges?

As simple as that!

And yet you don't have an amazing badge for that one!

I haven't gotten a badge for achievement, or play streaks in over 2 years since I lost my streaks. I have gotten back in streaks but I never get a badge again.

It recorded my achievements, added them to the score for each game, but wouldn't add to my total score for some reason. Now because of that, 360V saw that I had a 0 point increase (was actually 50-100 don't remember, 3 achievements) and reset. Can this be fixed? You can even see on my blog that it sees I earned the 3 achievements but doesn't track a score increase.

The 20-day streak badge is French (or possibly French Canadian), and H's are silent.

So, you would pronounce it "an ot streak".

The site is Pacific Time.

Pacific is always more than 5 hours behind GMT (Pacific Standard is GMT - 8 (Fall to Spring), Pacific Daylight is GMT - 7 (Spring to Fall)), so, 5 AM GMT on 9-17-2011 is still 9-16-2011 in Pacific Time Zone, and would count as the previous day.

Thank you! Much appreciated.

It goes by the site's time, which is pacific, so theoretically it's 12 AM pacific time (or 2 AM central time). However, anything about an hour before or after that time may or may not be counted; the data pull is kind of odd like that. If you were playing at about 2 AM on Sunday, but not since then, it may not have counted it. Looking at your blog for Sunday, it looks like maybe you played it (or at least started playing it) before the data pull, as your blog says that you played Torchlight on Saturday.

What time does the streak is counted? I thought it used to be 11pm for me in Central cuz thats what it used to be. I play Torchlight at 2am Sunday morning on my end and didn't play a game at all and now its telling me I have 0 days when I played it.

Has anyone looked into this yet? I haven't received an email back regarding the issue. Was hoping it would be a quick fix.

I got a contact about it and so I left it alone, but it appears nothing more was done beyond the initial look by the support team. I can restore it, and will then email my support team regarding the lack of communication (beyond me, as again, I got notice of it being looked at, but you should have too.)

EDIT: Emailed a reminder to myself for when I get home, both for the streak fix and the reminder to my team.

Thanks you for your help! I actually haven't been notified about this yet. I was thinking everyone was pretty busy and couldn't help.

I'm confused too!

Send in a fix to support@360voice.com, though if I have a chance tonight when I get home, I'll try and do a quick fix myself on that one. You did everything right!

That's odd, could it have anything to do with your new picture. Going to need to crack code open soon.
