Let me start by saying this game really exceeded my expectations. I was expecting a decent game that i would play for a day or 2, and then trade in to gamestop. In fact, the only reason i got it was because it was only 37 points on prizerebel. Alright, lets get down to buisiness.

Gameplay: If you were expecting this to be anything at all like the previous banjo games, you're wrong. The focus of this game is to build vehicles in order to complete various challenges (EX: Races, fights, delivering passengers, etc.) This is actually a very deep experience. You start out with pretty much nothing, and your vehicles will suck unbelievably no matter how hard you try, but as you progress through the game and collect hidden crates scattered around showdown town, you'll find yourself spending hours tinkering with the parts. 8/10

Multiplayer: Alright the multiplayer is pretty much dead, despite this game being a month or two old. You CAN use your vehicles online, but the only interesting game type is racing. 5/10

Achievements: Ahh, the only thing anybody cares about anymore. A large array of achievements revolve around progress in the singleplayer campaign, and others are just unreasonable (Collect all 900 notes in showdown town, Finish a marathon game of league(It takes around 5 hours, but i did it)Collect 131 jiggies(Wont even go into detail on how hard that is.)) The rest are multiplayer achievements. 7/10

Final thoughts: In my opinion, this is the most underrated game of 2008, and everyone should give it a try.

NOTE: It took me about 24 hours to complete the game

OVERALL: 8.5/10

DLC just got released. Once i'm done with it i might review it. It pisses me off that you have to beat each challenge twice to unlock "Klungo sssavesss teh universsse"

Nice review!

I really loved this game. I blogged about it quite a bit (maybe too much?). lol.
I can't understand why some people don't like it. The game has nice graphics, music, and great humor.

I agree the game is much better then I expected. Although, I bought the game new for $10, and I would not have bought it for a higher price. I have just started a few days ago and the story is kinda bleh and looks like it can become repetitive. I suggest to get the game on sale and enjoy.

I've been really wary of this game, but your review gives me a little bit of hope for it. There are still some others I mean to play first, but Nuts & Bolts is still on my list.

I was dissapointed with the demo, so i didn't bother getting it

When you say complete, do you mean beat the game? Or do you mean you got 1k? When I say complete it is 1k of the game. Thanks for the info.

Nice review. I agree it's better than most people think it is. If you still have it maybe we can boost the multiplayer?
