Hey everybody...

So myself and a couple of people from the site have been discussing some inter site competitive play. The exact details are still being worked on, but we thought we should start with the most important part ...the people.

So here is our idea....

We would like to start a team based, competitive, challenge. We would like to start on a small scale meaning within 360 voice, from here our vision gets a lot bigger. But we would like to try a test run and get a feel for the rules and the way we play. Eventually we see this spawning to an inter site gaming league of sorts.. for example:

The last Friday of every month we will hold a Trueachievements vs 360voice game, this game will allow 5 members of each site to face off in a gears of war 2 king of the hill best 2/3 match. The winning "Site" will get bragging rights untill the next showdown of the next month.

Now I used gears 2, king of the hill, and trueachievements, these are examples. We need to get a feel for what people like and what people wanna play, we also want an advantage(lol) so if we have 5 people that wanna play Red Faction well then we will set up a red faction team....

Most importantly we need people who are somewhat dedicated and ready to help and be a team. Our ODST team needs to practice, well maybe our Gears team could help them out and vise versa, maybe the Gears team is missing 2 members and they need replacements. We feel that this should be a community "challenge".

We also feel that the winning team/site should retain these bragging rights and maybe some recognition from the site, maybe a banner on the homepage or maybe a team badge....

There is alot of work that needs to be done, but we need people.

So any interest or suggestions please post.
Also please post your gamertag and what game you would be interested in...

Wow, I wish I was actually good enough of a player to join in on this... I am not the most skilled at any FPS but I have been known to play some L4D and will be getting L4D2 after thanksgiving. What about guitar hero/rock band? I could be all over some bass/guitar lol.

This too sounds like a good idea, but the whole badges things is probably just not do able.. there would be way too many and with current goings on...I just don't think it would happen. We could possibly, maybe, if we really get this thing going, then maybe, just maybe get a badge... maybe..

Why not start up an unoffical 360v ladder or something along those lines, then 360 voice members could make their own teams. Could even bring badges into the whole idea, such as "Team Winner MW2 Season1" or something along those lines.

Interesting.. well.. that may be a little later down the line, but if you want to work on ideas and or sigs for inner site team members first, that may work for now. Of course these sigs and or banners would have to be voted on as well.. but definatly something with the 360voice.com name and or logo in it would be appropriate.

Looks like we need a couple of teams maybe... and a better handle on what games.. this could be that start of an epic rivalry or disaster.. also I would like to show you this little link I found:

(as long as you go to games that arent shooters...one of if not my least favorite genre)

So any racing, RPG, Strategy, Oddball, Hack n slash, etc. I'm game.

I have talked to other friends of other sites about this and they thought it a good idea, However I have not asked them to post any thing nor have I posted anything about this to them or any other site. I said I would post this link in todays comments, should I still go with that or are we just going to go with who ever happens into this thread?

DoT, Yes I know the "legalities" and that is why I wanted to "grow" this.. I also understand your spelling comment, sometimes I just get lazy and don't do a spellcheck..lol..also Spider seems like he's got a great handle on this as well.

But I am also not opposed to my other friends getting something of thier own sites teams together internally to thier sites..(wow that sounds confussing) so that maybe when/if we actualy launch something like this (externally)it may be a little easier for us.

@ DOT I agree, what we are doing here is an "experiment", i feel we should have a 360voice team "champion" first. We need to do this internally, so we could have a proper outline of everything...I mean EVERYTHING. Then when we have a proven "formula" we can bring it to the attention of our founding fathers and ask permission to "represent" 360voice in a tournament/challenge between sites. I in no way want this leaked to other gaming sites now.. This is the Super BETA, it's like version -0.01.

And on another note, i would appreciate if this stayed on our forums, we should not get ahead of ourselves guys. We still haven't established anything, let's keep kicking the can around.. maybe we meet up fri or sat for a little gears to throw some ideas arounf---heck if we can get 10 guys we could hold the first of it's kind behind locked doors testing..

My xbox won't be back until around Thanksgiving so I will have to wait until then. I am good at Halo 3, and I am kinda good and L4D and Gears. I will see if my COD skills are better in MW 2 because as you can see in W@W my gamerscore is 5 for dying ten times lol.

Definitely count me in for this, I'm down for COD: MW2. I will be on this every day for the next year or two so to play competitively at the same time is awesome!!

One thing to keep in mind is that at no point does anything that comes of this, officially represent 360Voice. Being a larger-then-you-think community, the only official site representation is done through Fatty and Change (not even Squid.)

Just something to keep in mind. Oh, and please for the love of Jabootu, proof-read *everything* you post to other sites about the "team." Sadly the brain interface is not yet public and so reading comprehension is still the name of the game online.
