Posted - Sep 15 2006 : 11:58:16 PM Here are some common support questions. Feel free to add more if you think they will be helpful to others. If you don't see your question listed, email us at support@360voice.com.
1. I just registered. Why do I not have a blog yet? It takes two full days for your blog to start appearing. This is because we have to gather enough data to see when things have changed. The first day puts all of your game data into our system. The next day allows us to see what has changed and generate your first blog entry. If you have waited two days and still do not have a blog entry, try waiting three... if you happen to register right at the cut off for the nightly blog creation, it will take an extra day.
2. I just registered, but I never received an activation email. To prevent spam accounts we require you validate an email address. If you do not receive this activation email, it is possible that your ISP spam blocked it or the email was some how prevented from going through.
To have your account manually activated, please send an email to mail@360voice.com explaining that you did not receive the activation email and we can manually activate you. Please supply your email address and gamertag for reference.
3. My blog is not seeing any of the games I play. First, make sure that your gamercard privacy settings are set to "Everyone" in the Xbox Live dashboard. If it is not set to Everyone, our processor cannot see what you play.
Second, the 360voice blog does not see original/backwards compatible Xbox games, only Xbox 360 games. Games like Halo 2 will not appear in your blog, only 360 games. The blog also does NOT see retail demos. It will not see arcade demos either (because those do not show on your gamercard)... retail demos do not show on your card and therefore are not blogged about either.
If you want to get demos in your blog, use the "Blog a game" link in your blog settings or in the left nav of your blog page when logged in.
4. Can the blog see anything else I do? Movies? Music? Etc? No... the only thing we can see is the 360 games that you play. Everything else is a carefully crafted illusion!! Muhahaha!
5. Can I delete my blog? Yes, log in to your account. Go to your settings page. You will see a link for "Shutdown your blog" Click the button and never look back. :(
6. I paid the 800 points to change my gamertag. What happens to my blog? If you change your gamertag, simply e-mail us at support@360voice.com with your old and new gamertag (be sure to be clear which is which) and we will rename your account. Depending on when you notify us and when we change it over there might be a lapse in service so you may miss a day or two.
7. I know that I played yesterday but my blog says I didn't! What happened? We honestly don't have as great of control over this as we would like. Here are some of the reasons:
1. We only have LASTPLAYED DATE If you start playing a game before midnight PST and you finish playing after midnight PST, the lastplayed date will be for the next day. Therefore it will not count as a played game in your blog until the following blog entry. If you are on a streak, this will cause you to lose it! To prevent this, always play multiple games per day and always finish at least one of them well before midnight PST.
2. Not logged in to Xbox Live You might lose your connection to Xbox Live and not notice. Always make sure that you are logged in BEFORE you load the game and logged in after you exit to the dashboard. This will provide the best scenerio for your game data to be captured.
3. Network problems You might be logged in to Xbox Live but your wireless is running super slow... or your router is flacky. This will mean that even though you play, the data never makes it off your box up to the Live servers. You can try rebooting your router in these cases.
4. Not enough time to write the data to Live If you power off your Xbox from within the game, sometimes there is not enough time for the data to get to the servers before the power is off. Always exit the game to the dashboard, then power off the Xbox.
Because we are using a web service that MS provides, the resolution is fairly inaccurate... but we are doing the best we can to make it as consistent as possible.
5. Feed delays from Microsoft It has happened in the past that there are delays that prevent your Xbox.com profile from updating after you play your games. You can see this if you go to your Xbox.com profile and look at your recent games list. Sometimes it might be out-of-date. If your feed is out of date, than we won't be able to see the games for the blog entry. In the past, Microsoft has been notified and fixed this... If it looks like your game data is a day or so behind, let us know and we can ask our MS contacts to look into it.
8. How do I add games that I own and games I want to play? Log in to your forum account (you need one!) and then click the "settings" link in the upper right, then click the "game list" and toggle the games you own and want to play!
9. How do I use the forums? Anything I need to know? The forum software we use is called SNITZ. If you have questions about it, check out the Forum FAQ that comes with the software. If you have other questions, just post in the support forum. |

until this is sorted, it means that I'll forever be losing my score streak, even though I'm gaining achievements, and gaining gamer score, the blog goes completely insane on it saying that I've gained loads of zero point achievements, and then the following day gamer score with no achievements...
I looked at your achievements. You played and gained the achievements during the cutoff. Since the site polls between 11:00PM and 1:00AM Pacific, the Tiki Towers achievements that posted around 07:30 AM UTC (as that would be 12:30 AM Pacific) were during the feed cutoff window. This can cause points to post on one day and achievements to post on another.
So, whatever timezone you are in, you have to take into consideration your offset from Pacific Time and plan accordingly. This is not a new issue, as this is always how the site has worked, and has been something that users had worked with since inception of streaks and then scoring streaks. |

this means that the feed says "5 new achievements, but no score change, even though the game has no 0 point achievements"? unless the feeds for each blog are read at entirely different times, because I got those achievements over several hours, so the only way that my gs to not go up, but it to record the new achievements is to read the overall score at one point, and then the list of new achievements several hours later... I will send an email as there is clearly something wrong here...
quote: Currently, no, the only categories for game completions on 360voice is retail and arcade.
that's a pity as there are theoretically 3 categories - retail, arcade & windows phone...
Yes, that is exactly what the feed is saying, and, if you look at the days before and after, you will see more score than the achievements earned would account for.
There is theoretically retail, arcade, windows phone, windows 8, GFWL, iOS and web categories. |

THE Mr Fill's Xbox - Apr 27 2013 There are people out there who think video games are violent. But after THE Mr Fill played yesterday with his gamerscore of 145,340 points, there wasn't any violence at all. A little drooling maybe but definitely no violence. He made some progress on Cut the Rope: Exp. picking up 5 achievements, and then the lightweight went to bed. Freakin' wuss. | permalink
THE Mr Fill's Xbox - Apr 26 2013 THE Mr Fill decided to ride the gamer-train yesterday. I will admit it... I was happy. What is the gamer score? 145,340 is what it is! That is an improvement of 65 points over last time! He played Cut the Rope: Exp. finishing 4 achievements, and then he almost hugged me, but I was like back off dude. | permalink

Posted - Apr 28 2013 : 02:24:19 AM I'm confused at why I lost my current Score Streak - the blog says this: He made some progress on Cut the Rope: Exp. picking up 5 achievements, and then the lightweight went to bed. Freakin' wuss.
So, 5 achievements all have 0 score? And I know I got those achievements over several hours (as I wasn't playing constantly on it)
Oh, another question - is there going to be a section for WP games rather than being lumped into Arcade ones?
Thanks |

When do you play? What did you play the other day that didn't register? Our data is only as good as what MS provides us.
I would disagree with that statement about going down hill.

Btw. found the information how to add the 100% GS Club Sig in this thread and not in the stickied thread. Maybe if one of the admins has time to update the other thread. Guess it would be nice for other users
It is the percentage of days you have played of all the days you have been registered at 360voice.
Played meaning that your blog picked up and commented on at least one XBOX retail, XBLA, GFWL, Windows 8, WindowsPhone or other platform that adds to your XBOX LIVE gamercard. |

It means you have played the game at least 50 days |

Nope.
But on the bright side, they don't factor into your completion % until you earn something in them. They only show up on your list of games played. |

It won't read the correct time as we can only track days you've played them since signing up for the site. We use Microsoft's data feed for all of our information, and they do not track days played on their end, which makes it impossible to know how many days you have played without the information on our end of the feed. |
