Gears of War is and always will be a tough game to boost.. different incarnations of a boosting group have been in exsistence for quite some time, some collapsing due to lack of interest other to lack of communication, but all that is now behind us as we enter in to a new era of GEARS BOOSTING!
I have invisioned putting together multiple boosting groups so that at any time anyone of us in these groups can come together and get extra sessions in if we want to. Meaning the core teams will be meeting at least once a week for however many sessions they want for that night. If you want to do other days with your group then go for it, but say only 3 of those members want to do extra days they can contact any of the other members for any other days, except the days the core groups are schedualed.
Teams should be broken down in to 6 (the minimum required gamers for achievemetns to count), this will also allow the maximum number of kills for each player. (Around 33 per player) If you choose to allow more gamers in then your group will be up to 8 people and kills would go down significantly. (Around 18 per person) The only good thing about that is that you can loose up to 2 gamers and the match and kills still count toward achievements.
Once these groups are set up and running it will be the responsability of those group memebers to stay in contact and show up for these sessions and to let others know if they will be late or won't make it..please be certious to your fellow gamers.
If one or more teams boost the same night then it would also elieviate the possibility of randoms (though those are bound to incure) Meaning IF everyone agrees to it and your all doing the same maps you can switch out between teams!!
This is also a great way to network and find others with games you have in common to complete!
IF you have a TEAM and are not sure how to effectivly boost contact me(B8TINGU) and I will gladly explain and or show you how to in a game. Kills need to be done in certain matches types (Warzone to be absolutly sure)and it must be RANKED or they don't count toward achievements. (THEY CANNOT BE DONE IN ANNEX)
You must have at least 6 players present the entire match. MEANING: If you have 6 gamers and you lose a player and then only have 5 gamers in the match, the entire match and all kills will not count toward any achievements.
Be aware the game itself is sorta glitchy. Weapons often take more than 100 kills to unlock achievemetns and don't expect seriously to pop the moment you hit 10,000 kills either.

Looking for gamers for Sunday's thru Saturday's to start boosting SERIOUSLY? Well ceck here! Here are some Guide lines I used Please feel free to use ehm as they weork very well. Of course you can alsways add more this was just for the busy/time orintaed people.
Minimum of (3) 19 round matches 35 min. average(with weapons kills/achievements) and one shorter match to get at least 100 kills per day. This will average just under two hours, again that's with weapons kills, when all weapons kills are complete average match takes 21 minutes or less.
ALL of these types of ACHIEVEMENTS can be done if needed:
Weapons kills, Hosting matches, Highest score.
DLC win 20 mp. matches of 3+ rounds in any game type can be done byyourself on one X-box with two controllers. Certain weapons can only be found on certain maps. So to obtain all Weapons achievements you will need to cycle thru afew different maps at times.
ANNEX SHOULD NOT BE DONE! (as none of it counts towards any achievement)
This is for serious and dedicated boosters only.
If you can commit to just one day a week that better than nothing.
Having a working headset and being in the party is not required, but certainy makes things funner!
No Show No Messages will be replpaced after 10min.
This is a long term commitment. If/when you get the ACHIEVEMENT you will not be needed and can leave the group.. no need to keep you when there are lots of gamers still wanting to work on this and no one will think any less of you.
If you can not make sessions on a regular basis, you will be replaced at the groups disgretion.
Groups go in alphabetical order unless other wise stated.
COG's always kill first.. Just to keep things simple.
Start Times are:
At your discretion.
If you don't show up or message anyone 10 min after posted start times, you will be replaced for that nights sessions. It's only fair as this is a group thing.

TEAMS will no longer be updated aon this thread, you will have to put togeteher a team ans keep track of them for yoursevles, I call it tough love..lol.. but it does seem the only way people will geet together. There must be some sort of group leader whom pushes and keep control otherwise the group is in danger of falling apart.

To answer your question...Personaly I am not. As I have stated in my original postings. I believe jsut by quickly browsing the names, most everyone here is also done with it too, but don't let that discourage youThis site and a few others are still great for getting like minded gamers together.
Either start your own thread or get some watchers and start networking.. this is a great bunch of gamers here.

After many months the last member of our core group that started boosting back in Feb has gotten his achievement. This in essence brings our participation in the Mon & Tue sessions to an end. We have had many people fill in slots during this time and they are still working on this achievement.
For these people I would like to keep the Mon & Tue sessions going. I'm willing to help organize it, but I would like to pass the baton off to someone that is committed and willing to lead the sessions moving forward.

I was coming to post something like this as well. I sent messages to the Th group as I don't know if they are still boosting, but I know W/F/Su have died. I'm going to try and set up new groups based on user interest. It sounds like we have at least 4 of the old Sunday group still around, but if anyone is interested in boosting W/F/Su, or Th if they aren't active any more, please shoot me a message on LIVE, or I'll try to keep checking this thread. |

The Sunday Boosting group has kind of disappeared. So moexu and radarboy are looking for reliable boosters for Sunday nights. Let me know if you are definitely in.
Sessions start around 8pm (CST) - We usually try to run through about 4 matches.

Ok then the first page had a big update ans some edidting to reflect the current situation.
@ All: Will be putting you in to slots so you can see progress and will be sending messages and Friend request in the next few days, hope to get his going for next week. If I don't have enough in the next few days I will start activly recruting form the list or if anyone has any reliable gamers that want to do this let them/me know ASAP.
@ xMac Sorry I would have used yours, but I couldn't copy or paste on this site?? weird.. I aslo have a set format anyway.. lol..

@ Mr. Gompers.. The 20+ achievements will not be done to full.. I only stated that it COULD be worked on if we need that map for a certain Weapon or if sor some reason we need to chose an alternate map due to too many people being on.. but I highly doubt that.
OR.. if the group really really really wants to work on a certain, map .. but it had to be a majority rule.

Thanks for putting this together. I've been looking for a reliable group to join. Due to my work schedule only Sat nite's will work for me. If you go past 11pm EST during the week I mite be able to join and fill in someone's spot if someone wants to leave early.
I seek these cheese mints only - torque bow, boom shot, host 50 matches, seriously. ( I have about 1,000 kills already)
I know seriously is a long term cheese mint, but it's so boring I don't think I would want to play more than 2 hours a week anyway.
Send a FR when you have time.
PS The win 20 mp matches on DLC maps can be done with 2 controllers. I would remove that cheese mint from these sessions. |
