So I finally decided to play Blue Dragon - been on the shelf for a while. Looked up the acheivements and found out that it is really easy to miss a number of achievements and with a 75+ hour game I don't really want to play twice. I found two walkthroughs online but both were written from the Japanese version of the game and don't seem to detail getting all 1000GS while playing game. So I decided I would take a crack at creating one with the gory details that you have to complete this event now otherwise you will have to do it on a second playthrough or hope you have a save right before it comes up. I have a question about walkthroughs - everytime I look at one they have all that stuff about don't use without permission and stuff like that, is this something that should be added? If so what should be included in such a statement? |

I did not include that one specifically because you can go back and defeat it. In my guide I only included one chance monsters. I give a link to a monster guide to find any that may be missing from your record. Only about 17 monsters have to be defeated on the first meeting or have situations that prevent going back to them. Thanks though. |

There's a monster that needs to be hit with a charged attack in order to split him into two different monsters. This is required for the complete monster record. Did you include this in the guide? I Know they were in a fortress, but I forget which one as it's been many months since I've 1k'd the game.
I don't seem to see this pointed out in the guide, but I could be missing it. |

Alright - so it seems that IGN keeps the guide link the same and just updates the info, that good to know. Good for anyone using it because that link will always have the most up to date guide. I am looking forward to any feedback you all give me to make it better. Thanks for all the help so far. |

OK so my guide got posted over at IGN and there seems to have been a little mistake on my part. I was using <ACHIEVEMENT> to designate information about achievements. Well in HTML that designates a tag and therefore when rendered on a page the information does not show up. OOPS! So I have changed to using (ACHIEVEMENT) and that should fix it. I am going to submit the edit tonight.

Back Attack - 5GS
Closed Flying Fortress Door - 10GS
Wagon Escort: Perfect - 30GS
Pulled in the Flying Fortress - 5GS
Mechat Shooting Stage 1: Perfect - 30GS
Those were all the achievements in Disk 1 I had. Everything except Back Attack has to be done when the event comes up otherwise there is no way to go back unless you have a save just before it. |

My guide is complete and it is a beast, approximately 65 printed pages according to Word. With Blue Dragon being 3 Disks it is no wonder how it got so big. I just got done submitting my guide to IGN so I will post back with the link once I have it. Thanks for all the support. |

Wow, congrats on the 1K Ax. I'll be sure to use your guide myself when I decide to finally get on my copy of Blue Dragon, of course I have to finish off Lost Odyssey and Nier. |

OK so it is finally over. I beat Blue Dragon this morning with a total play time around 182 hours. The actual game doesn't take that long but I did a huge amount of exploring and the idle time of writting the guide is a huge factor in that time. Right now I am checking the spelling and formatting. |

165:57:35 and playing continues. It's been a while and I would have most likely been done with this game and the walkthru but I was just too bored of leveling up the classes that I had to play something else. I started Family Game Night - a super easy 1400 GS in case anyone cares. I have 590 of 1000GS now and I am only about an hour away from another 250GS for ranking every class for every character to level 99 - by far the longest and most tedious part of this game. With that out of the way I figure there is about another 15 hours of gameplay left factor in writting the guide and its about 20 hours so I hope to be done with Blue Dragon very soon. |

Tonight marks the end of disk 2. As it stands right now I am 135 of 1000 GS - UNBELIEVABLE!! Also, I have a playtime of 93:35:37 - WOW! I cannot remember the last time I put this much time in a game. Of course the last guide I wrote was for Legend of Zelda Link's Awakening - but that game took all of 15 hours to beat so even writting a guide with it made it about 22 hours. Looks like disk 3 is short but because of the last achievements are level based, there is still a lot of grinding to be done. |

I found the voice acting a bit irritating. I liked the art and overall aspect of the game. However, the voices made me sick =/
