Posted - Dec 14 2010 : 11:16:16 AM Gotta tell you: mine is the suck. I haven't even freaking started yet, because my tattoo pretty much sucked up all of my money. Gonna be a low budget christmas for me.
I'm holding out miniscuel hope that I A) get a christmas bonus in a timely manor (unlikely), and that B) it's significant enough to get the girl a mac mini (50/50).
Otherwise... I'm buying gifts for a scant five or six... and it's mostly small dvd sets, and doodads.
Oh... my mother asked me to get my step dad a chest shaving kit.
There is such a thing as "projectile" vomit!!!
Girl's baby brother gets rock band 3... cuz he's awesome.
How're things going for everyone else?

Posted - Dec 15 2010 : 1:47:35 PM For the 4th year in a row, was done with 90% of my stuff by Black Friday. And now with a possible cross country move coming, the fringe people I might have bought small stuff for are not getting anything. |

Posted - Dec 14 2010 : 1:03:46 PM I'M DONE AND I CAN'T WAIT TILL CHRISTMAS!!! We got a early start this year (started in October) and I'm glad I'm done cause the stores were already starting to get crazy.
One gift my girlfriend and I are excited to see opened this year is the LM Edition DSI XL (the Mario one) that we got for our oldest son, hes a HUGE Mario fan and has been bugging for his own DS ever since we got his sister one earlier this year, I figure hes going to do a backflip.
Also can't wait to play some more Donkey Kong Country Returns, I bugged the girlfriend to let me open it early so me and a friend could try it, ITS AWESOME but sadly it is wrapped up now and I have to wait till Christmas to play it some more. Also looking forward to playing some Kirbys Epic Yarn and Mario Kart Wii with the kids as well. My oldest son takes after his father and is going to have an incredibly hard time deciding what he whats to do Christmas day, but the more I think about it so is the whole family.
My kids are getting spoiled this year but they deserve it. |

Posted - Dec 14 2010 : 11:33:13 AM DoT - That's what we did too... we went to Vegas this last weekend for our Christmas instead of gifts. Since we could drive, neither of us gamble really, and got free hotel stay with points, it was cheaper. We basically just wandered around and played tourist, so all we really paid for was food and a few small things (gondola ride in the Venitian, and a couple pics).
One of these days we need to go to Disney... could drive there too, and I've never been! |

Posted - Dec 14 2010 : 11:25:50 AM My family canceled Christmas unless it's your immediate family, so no worries about aunts/uncles/cousins, which helps. The wife and I are not buying gifts for each other since we're going to be in DisneyWorld for Christmas (literally, on the 25th) this year. We try and save so that we get one vacation a year, and when you can drive to Disney, it's actually affordable!
Gonna buy something for my brother from the Japan store in Epcot though, it's a tradition. One year I got him Red XIII (w/ Cait Sith) and last year it was an M. Bison figurine. |

Posted - Dec 14 2010 : 11:20:59 AM I haven't started yet... pretty much budget issues, and I'm just not feeling it much this year. The wedding planning is taking up almost all the resources at this point, plus some that we didn't plan on or account for. We pretty much decided not to exchange gifts this year to each other, so I really only need to figure out something for the parental types. He has to buy for his sister, brother, aunts, parents, niece and nephew. Sometimes it's nice to have a family that doesn't really talk to or see each other. LOL!
