Posted - Jun 11 2011 : 11:57:44 PM Has anyone tried these free gadgets from the Kinect Fun Labs? If you have, what do you think about them?
I have tried all four gadgets; Kinect Me, Googly Eyes, Bobblehead, and Build a Buddy.
I have enjoyed playing with these gadgets, but they do seem limited - but since they are free, can you really complain about that?
My favorite of the four is Bobblehead. I keep making those darn things just so I can make a silly recording for when you slap them around. Biggest drawback is you can't just change the recording if you don't like it. . . to do that you have to recreate the whole thing. |

Posted - Jan 22 2012 : 9:11:41 PM Yeah, the fun labs are great for freebies, but for the ones that cost money I would think that it would be a bit more involved and be playable past 20 minutes. |

Posted - Jan 21 2012 : 1:44:07 PM It's been a long time since I messed with the gadgets. Played with Battle Stuff. Seems like a slightly different take from Googly Eyes and Build a Buddy... interesting paper, rock, scissors element to determine who "wins". |

Posted - Jul 04 2011 : 03:51:44 AM It's catchy because it's a kids song. http://youtu.be/wjFJCZCHzNY
It's done by Caspar Babypants (who is actually the lead singer for The Presidents of the United States of America). The lyrics are funny too if you watch the video and can hear them.
About the original question though-- yes, I do find the Kinect Fun Labs' apps fun. I have tried Kinect Me, Googly Eyes, and Bobblehead (if I'm remembering correctly). The only thing I was disappointed about was how inaccurate the apps that turn you into an avatar are. They get the clothes right but the face ends up rather odd looking. Googly eyes can be pretty entertaining though. |

Posted - Jun 12 2011 : 11:37:07 PM Is it just me or is the song for Googly Eyes too catchy? Things been in my head for four days now. . . or is it 5? :p
I'm looking forward to the keyboard anywhere gadget... |
