For the last little bit I've liked the idea of celebrating a milestone by hosting a challenge, and I think the time has finally come to launch that event. Last week I crossed the 200k mark and if ever there was a milestone worth comemorating, it would be that one. So at that, let me launch my 200k challenge. Here are the details:
When: Jan 21st, 2012 - Feb 5th, 2012 (after the Mega)
Scoring: Everything is fair game. First place goes to the person who puts up the top gamerscore in those two weeks.
Prizes: At this point, first place will get two used games from my collection. I may bump that up to a new AAA game if the budget allows, but for now, that will have to do. There will also be a 1400MSP code for the top scoring Canadian player, and two arcade game codes given out as a random entry prize. Entry will be based on earning a certain type of achievement that will be revealed on the final day of the competition (don't worry, it's a pretty common one).
Eligibility: Everyone is eligible to win and enter, though you must have a blog entry showing a game played on Jan 21, 2012.
Oh, and so we are clear, most of the games I would be able to offer would be NTSC, however I do have a list of games that are region free that is beleived to be accurate. If one of the site members from outside North America wins, I can ship a selection of those games elieved to be region free.
So, let me know if you are interested and sign up. If we get a very large number of people, I will have to run this through the challenge system, if not, I will just run it based on blog entries.

I've adjusted the scoreboard to reflect final scores. I am in the process of getting the rest of the winner determined (the random draw is complicated and it is late). I'm sending messages to the two confirmed winners, and should be able to send everything off when I get back home on Wednesday or Thursday. |

It's actually in the first post in this thread. I'm only tracking the position of the top 5, but everyone's score is tracked. |

Well, I won't be a hard ass for forgetting to close sign ups. The three people who signed up after the deadline (not by much, though), I will let you participate.
Sign ups are now closed and I am in the process of getting the leaderboard set up. |
