An anonymous source over at charlieoscardelta.com has said that the Beta Countdown Timer will be up and running this Monday and the actual Beta will launch this coming Friday. Hopefully they're right...but I honestly wish it was sooner. |

I have a good feeling about today, check this out. Look a few posts down...However, I bet they're just putting the beta on the Marketplace and getting it ready for the mad rush, but they'll be giving the tokens away tomorrow or something like that....that's my guess.
People are posting at 100mph over there trying to get new info, but im amongst the chaos. one of the Infinity Ward dudes "fourzerotwo" is playing the Call of Duty MP Beta right now, so its gonna be soon.
IW is going to take care of the charlieoscardelta.com members first before the general public. But if you're one of those guys that register on the site the moment news is released, you probably won't count...sorry. |

I've been registered at the site since May or so and have been following every detail about CoD4. You CAN drop a grenade when you die, that's one of the perks, called "Martyrdom". Infinity Ward has been saying that the beta would go live late August, but they're a little behind schedule. I check the website at least a dozen times a day to see if there's any new news, so I'll post here once it's official, but IGN and TeamXbox will probably beat me to it.
The beta's for people ages 18 and up as most of you know and it is public, to a certain degree. To get into the beta you will need to earn a "token", which is basically a code that you can then go onto the XBL Marketplace and "Redeem a Code" and badabing badaboom, you're downloading the CoD4 beta. But to get a token you must answer 3 trivia questions correctly. No one knows what the questions will be about or what happens if you get one wrong...we'll just have to wait and see. |

I've been dying for this game ever since I saw the first teaser trailer. In my opinion, it's going to be one of the biggest releases for the Call of Duty series. The other games have been fantastic but this just breaks the mould! I can't wait for it and have been so much more excited when I heard the MP beta was being released exclusively for xbox 360 (Shove that in your pipe Sony  , lol!) OK, so the reason it's exclusive is probably because Live is a harder online service to create a game for but still...any reason for a 360 exclusive is a good reason, right?
