With the announcement of PS3 "trophies" and "accomplishments" I would like to see you guys develop a sister website called PS3voice doing the same thing for PS3 as you do here for the 360.

As an affiliate site I am truly enjoying the relationship between our two websites as it is. I get to host challenges and promote both of our websites in doing so...

Having this for PS3 would be a great benefit to the gaming community.. and if you don't do it, someone else will. You guys have shown you know how to do it right...

Hope this is met with an open mind.. no fanboy flaming please

i dont think they have community APIs for public use... it would be a great idea, esp for gamerdna.com... but i think they dont have community tools like Microsoft has... Read through some of the OLLLDDD old old posts about how the site works... its a pretty straight forward system from Microsoft... But im pretty sure Sony still hasnt done anything like that yet...

That was my only question is how the coding is done... but I know they copied a lot from what Microsoft did, which is a good thing. I would hope it is doable. I think it would depend on if they will have the accomplishments linked to a gamers PSN so that other gamers could see it... if that is the case it might work.

I would love for the team behind 360voice to at least take a stab at it.

I think what Andy was trying to say was that it's not up to the guys here to do it. I'm sure they'd be hot onto it, if they could. The difference is, Microsoft provided the community with all the data that's used here. Basically, they gave developers the ability to pull all the Live data, and use it how they saw fit. 360voice is one of the outcomes. MyGamerCard.net is another. I could list a lot of others, but hopefully you get the idea

As of now, Sony (as far as I know) haven't given developers any of the PSN data. Maybe with the addition of the trophy system, then they might start giving out data, but at the minute, they're not.

Have a look here for info on the program this site is a member of, and how they get their data.

Live Eye and Xbox American are other big ones too.

You'd have to annoy sony into a good idea, but considering this is the ps3 we're talking about good luck with that.

If Sony ever releases feeds we will be all over it at GamerDNA.com :) That is where we would do it... we have some basic Xbox narratives there as well as Xfire for PC gaming... and Steve is working on Steam next... followed by WoW narratives... so we are building that out... so if PS3 had feeds, GamerDNA.com is where they would end up.

You notice we changed the default for the page? You can now configure it in your gamerDNA panel... it is set to ALL Experiences now... but you can pick auto or manual.

I think Sony is half hearted in this adventure. Total Monkey see Monkey do, missing some key parts and not providing the data for the websites.

Is 360voice going to end up looking like Gamerdna or are they going to remain separate?

None at all as "Trophies" are, as mentioned by MightyMango earlier, a total "Monkey see, Monkey do." Sony offers very little Trophy support whereas Microsoft provides the data feed that is used to track all the achievement data.

So no, there is, nor will there ever be a PS3voice.

Precisely. Actually, Sony used to supply the information, then cut it off... Sometime late last year gamerdna.com was able to automatically publish trophies, but within about a month the data was no longer being pushed.
