Do you know what I am talking about? WCG Ultimate Gamer is a New TV Show that puts Gamers through a series of Real-Life & Gaming Challenges.

In WCG ULTIMATE GAMER, 12 top gamers from around the country live together and battle one another in a series of competitions that take them "beyond the game." From real-life challenges inspired by top-selling games to head-to-head elimination matches before hundreds of screaming spectators, the last gamer standing after eight grueling weeks will have survived gaming's ultimate test and will be called the best all-around gamer in the United States.

If you are interested but have missed the first three... you can easily watch them online here or here. :)
I have found it very funny how pro-360 the show has been so far but maybe that will change. I doubt it will though since the WCG Games are pretty heavy on 360 Titles and it only makes sense that the games on the show will be the games that the World Cyber Games uses in Competition.
I also should admit I knew a couple of the Contestants before the show and have since "Live Party'd" with a couple more so I might be in the tank... but personally, I love it that Sci-Fi is trying to find ways to engage Gamers over an extended period of time now and hope that this type of thing is only the beginning. :)

| So, when does SciFi Channel start branding itself as Syfy? |

As soon as Battlestar Galactica ended, seriously I'm not kidding. |

Good to see there is at least one person that doesn't live in my house that are watching the program. I have enjoyed it and can't wait to see how it all turns out. Rob can't talk about what is coming (NDA and all) but he has said that the show is going to have them gaming ways we have never seen before... so I am staying tuned. :)

According to your link "The network plans to make the changeover July 7, when it will launch the new series “Warehouse 13.”
Also, the link left out the part about how Sci Fi has been running into problems for years Trademarking "Sci Fi" around the globe... so a name change was forced. Instead the article only mentioned the less pertinent reasoning of "The name Sci Fi has been associated with geeks and dysfunctional, antisocial boys in their basements with video games and stuff like that, as opposed to the general public and the female audience in particular"... which is not the full truth. |

| Love the show. My wife loves the show (huge plus). I wish I could have taken a month off to be on the show. I went to the auditions in Los Angeles and made it through to the interview, but my work situation wouldn't allow me to be gone for so long. I am hoping to make season 2 if they have one. I lol'd at the serious lack of racing skills by most of the contestants. It was interesting seeing Brian Boyle, whom I've met many times, training Mark and Ciji and the real world racing challenge. |
