Thanks to Game Stop, I'm about to start three or four new games this week, and that means my wonderful completion percentage will plummet. So before I do that, I wanted to savor this moment, when I currently have 25,865 out of 27,827 GS, for a percentage of...

94.79%

You would see me in the Top 25 on the Completionist leaderboard if not for the Prince of Persia glitch. ;)

One of the songs I wrote is available as DLC for Rock Band 2, 3 and Blitz!!! Check it out: http://rhunekincaid.com/blog/2010/09/iphone-on-rock-band-network-for-xbox-360/

No longer, I already popped in Condemned 2, and Left 4 Dead may go in later tonight.

Congrats! 94% completion at 26K GS is a nice mark, Synjin! Try to keep that up as your gamerscore increases, though, cause it does get much tougher as you play more games.

Look at Laus at 94% at 101K GS... that's some serious completion dedication right there!

It all started back when I first rented 2006 FIFA World Cup and nearly went insane trying to get the 500 point achievement. Should I send it back at 500/1000 and play something more fun? Should I keep at it? I couldn't just give up though, so when that achievement unlocked, I somehow felt obligated to honor the struggle with a high completion percentage. Two other comments. Playing games to completion is good for the budget, making it hard to justify buying new games all the time. Secondly, only a rare few can compete for the top gamerscore, but anyone willing can compete for a high completion percentage.

Where's SpeleoFool? I want to hear his comments on this topic.

@LausDomini - I agree. Having the top Gamer score is one thing, but to have your completion percentage in 90% is really impressive.

Lol. I must have heard my name called. Seriously, I was just browsing the forums since I don't tend to wander to far from the Epic Thread most days and I stopped in here & saw "completion" and thought, "yeah I'll read that...."

Looks like today I'm at 128,551 and 98.01% completion, at least by this site's rules. I've started COD:WaW and would like to pop my 10th prestige before I do the campaign, so for the moment I have one achievement for 0 points. 360voice doesn't count that against my completion, but other sites do.

Picking a number is somewhat arbitrary, but for me the whole completion game changed when I passed 90%. Before that point it felt like I had options--I could pick and choose from a few games / achievements to figure out how to get up to 90%. At 90% it felt like I only had the really bad stuff left. By the time I hit 95% I was down to nothing but the truly miserable achievements that I had good reasons for not going after before. I mean, I finished Sneak King! Ugh. :)

Completion can be a real Catch-22. On the one hand, you only have to do those worst-of-the-worst achievements once. On the other hand, it gets exhausting doing nothing but the same games all the time and nothing but terrible achievements. The better you do at completion, the fewer options you have to improve.

Every once in a while I like to do exactly what you're doing and thrown in some new games. It keeps things fresh for me so I don't go (more) insane. Then I've got to remind myself to go back to achievements that have been sitting incomplete for the longest and do some of those next time I try to ratchet up my completion another notch.

Completion can get addicting, too. I never intended to get this high up the charts, but now that I am it's hard to just play new games. I absolutely won't touch any game without researching it so I know exactly how long it will take and whether there are any problematic achievements. I avoid starting too many long projects at once because that makes it harder to get any one thing done.

Anyway, congrats on 94.79%. I know that took some work. And congrats on having the guts to throw in some new games and enjoy those. Don't let gaming stop being fun. :)

It is good on the wallet. I always feel like I'm getting my money's worth... up until I find an achievement that makes me want to pay to have the game removed from my gamercard, looking at you, Crackdown.

Hey, be easy on Crackdown--that was a good game. It had some of the better achievements on the 360 (pinning 5 guys to a car = awesome). Granted, once you start going for orbs you'll be hearing those chimey sounds for days. Just do a search for "CandiedSkull," and you'll find an awesome set of orb guides with screenshots (can't imagine what else in that game might be giving you that much trouble, except maybe a couple of the races).

As for getting your money's worth, just remember that the whole equation includes not only the money you pay but also what you get for that money. Yaris taught me just how expensive "free" can be, while $60 was a great bargain for Fallout 3, IMO.

It's the stunt rings. There's two of them that i've tried hundreds of times and can't get through and I stopped caring about wanting to do it a long time ago, but kept trying for the 100%. If you can help me through it... well, I wouldn't argue.

Great job! I peaked at 94.77 on Tuesday, which as I see is only slightly better than six months ago. I mostly blame Sajaa's Tomb Raider Anniversary guide for saying 6-8 hours for 1000. I've spent 10 hours on the game and am only 25% done (halfway through first playthrough) I still hope to hit 95% some day!

On the stunt rings in Crackdown, can't you just pick up a car and jump through them? I am some time behind with that, but I thought you could. If that is any help.

Yeah if you're playing co-op you can do that. Whoever needs credit for the stunt rings gets into a car and then your buddy picks you up and throws you through it. The problem that I was running into was that the stupid rings would disappear for no reason. It took so long for then to come back that I gave up half way through.

Hey stoney I found out that you need to stand on a certain spot that triggers the stunt ring. I still have the maps if you want to try.
