It used to be very rarely.
Starting next month, it should be a once a month update cycle. Just gotta get the bugs out of the system, but it's closer then ever!

With the new update, will the genre badges be updated? For instance adding maybe a 45 and 75% to equal 5 stars total (30, 45, 60, 75, 90)? Because I feel that the more games we add the less we will know how much they actually play the genre. For instance, say there was 100,000 points possible in FPS. There is a HUGE difference between having 60,000 points (60%) and having 90,000 points (90%). Therefore someone could have the 60,000 point badge but really have 85,000 points and I do not think that is an accurate betrayal of their skills. |

At this time, we will not be adding a new breakdown of the genre badges.
What will be happening though, is a further breakdown of the genres once the new database is up and running. This will reduce the overall number of games per genre and hopefully create a more accurate representation in the process. Building is taking place around the 30/60/90 breakdown at the moment, but once things are established, another look can be taken at increasing the breakdowns.
And to stay on topic here: Anyone have a good genre suggestion for The Wheelman?

Ahh Action/Adventure. Movie since it was supposed to be part of a movie but was then shelfed but is back on again thanks to Vin Diesel being a money maker and all. |

| So where exactly do you think Sam & Max Save the World would fit? It's a Point and Click adventure and even though I've played all the way through I just can't place the game... I'd hate to not see it make it somewhere (mostly because it's one of the rare games that I've actually got 100% completion on). |

On the 360 at least, let's be honest, Point and Click is very rare, encompassing all of...2 games at the moment. |
