Yes I did read the rest of your post but complaining because you won't get a badge because it's for EU edition games, when everytime I have requested Ao2 (EU) get added has been whined at by people screaming that they will be penalized for not being able to play it when I and many others are penalized by just the us version being on there, just seemed ridiculous.
Why should I be penalized on my progress towards the retro badge simply because people were too slow to purchase an Arcade game. But retail version of games will not always be around, they do end up being discontinued.
I'm sure everyone knew what you meant, sorry if it offended you, I was trying to be humourous, because what you wrote when taken in context of the words you used unintentionally contradicted itself.
And I'll triple post if I want to, just like you can quote yourself inside posts. It's lazy, but so what? |

@Tatakai no Kami - All this has been discussed already, and unfortunately for the time being, only NTSC games will count for the genre badges. Yes it's not fair, but unfortunately that's how the system works for the time being. Ideally this will change in the future, but it also might not despite the best of intentions. Rest assured it is not done on purpose to spite people.
Yes, games that are removed from the marketplace will be removed from badges as they are no longer available. Hard copies can be found of older games by scouring trading sites, goozex, ebay, etc. Digital distribution means they no longer exist and new players will not be penalized. You still have the GS you accrued by playing the title.
And no, Overlord is not an RPG as has been discussed many times. Well it is an RPG, but it's also much more given the unique control scheme, premise and heavy puzzle elements. It will not be moved from Oddball, and more then likely, Overlord 2 will be joining it under that genre.

But under my idea A02 EU would be added. It would be fair for both US and EU players. Your progress towards the retro badge isn't really affected, because the requirements go down also.
Also my apologies. I've been under a lot of stress with school and moving, so I didn't exactly pick up on the sarcasm :D. No hard feelings. |

I know it's been discussed, and pretty much accepted, but when some one complains because they won't be able to get the EU badge your going to try to set up to put these games under, I found it ridiculous.
And can you guys fix Hellboy on your site so that getting 840 in it counts as completion, The DLC with the other 160pts is never going to be released. www.trueachievemrnts.com regsiters Hellboy as completed when you get the 840pts possible. |

It's cool, it's just one of the problems with written communication, a lot of the context is lost.
I personaly would love for my AO2 to be counted towards the badge, but as Dog has said, it's been discused time and again, and the times I mentioned it people screamed that they would be penalized, ignoring that non US players are already penalized. There are many badges I will probably never get, and I would probably never get the EU badge either but it would be nice to feel some love for the games that right now don't count in the genres they should. And I just felt that Idea shouldn't be scrapped just because not everyone would be able to get it. |

That's not why the idea's been scrapped, in fact, it hasn't. It's a technical issue regarding the coding of the badge process and the issue with making a separate badge tracker for NTSC/non-NTSC.
Now then, last posting on the subject within this thread, which is supposed to be just for game suggestions. Feel free to start a fresh thread for discussion, bound to get more people talking that way. |

Wanted under 3PS, movie and superhero games Please
GH Metallica under music (or it's own badge)
Conflict Denied Ops under FPS please
Dark Sector under 3PS or Survival Horror.
Also should Conan not be under Movies, Superhero's and Tv shows too? 2 conan movies, several hundred Conan Comics, and 1 animated show and one terrible live action Tv show.
Lastly please change Hellboy so it max's at 840. 1000pts will never be achievable on this game because Konami will never release the DLc for the last 160pts. |

Just a brief mention of Hellboy since it was brought up.
Since Hellboy is only under a collector's badge, the score you have in it does not matter. You can have 0 GS and it will still count for the Super Hero badge. Due to the glitchs and a max score of 840, Hellboy will *not* be placed under a genre. |
