Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the second annual Buffet Challenge.
The challenge is won by adding 15,000 gamerscore from across the 2024 recognized genres. The hitch is that each genre will cap at 1,000 points. So for instance, no matter how many sports games you play, only 1,000 sports points will be attributed towards the 15,000 total.
Rules:
1. Only the games associated with genres on 360voice count towards the total.
2. Gamerscore which you already have at the start of the launch date (March 1) will be recorded and you will need to ADD to that total.
3. In the event of a genre update, gamerscore will once again be recorded and new games will be eligible to be played. For example, if you already have 400 points in Scene It: Bright Lights and it gets added to the Party genre, you may add 600 points but the 400 does not count. If you have not played the game at all at that point, you may try for the full 1,000.
4. In the event that a genre is added, it will not be part of this challenge.
5. To sign up, simply state your intent in this thread.
Prizes:
The first THREE gamers to complete the challenge will receive a game of their choice from my collection.

NOTE: August 18th - Mass Effect officially added to prize pool
NOTE: August 18th - HAK Devil 1989 broken on leaderboard. Score same as last update.
NOTE: December 1st - Frontlines: Fuel of War added to the prize pool

The points will count if they are scored while the game is in the genre. |

We have Top Gun and Wrestling which were not available last year. Still, 75% needed versus 67% does make this a more difficult challenge than last year. With so many gaming superstars signed up this should make for a great battle!
I will accept sign-ups through the end of the month, then let badges run on March 1st so that the starting scores can be recorded from the Badge Calculator.
The gamercard banners on the front page should ensure everyone's gaming data is readily available and up-to-date. Just one note: If you get a title update, please exit to dashboard and relaunch so that the game gets updated. |
