I thought that after seeing that some people respect the spirit of the rental program and some don't, that there should be a one stop place to see if you should send a game on to someone. I am going to try to compile a list of the "good guys vs. the bad guys".
EDIT: After reading futiles post I have decided to change this from good vs. bad to quick vs. extended. I'm keeping the bad section for people that don't follow the rules and/or don't communicate. Everyone not in the bad section is considered a good renter (as almost all of you are)
I would like to make this a place to post the good and not just a place to dump on people (although a few people have earned a good dumping). If you have a person you would like to have added to this list (even yourself) just post with the game or games and the turnaround time(s). I will list them with their average turnaround here.
I will try to comb the BSR forums and put some together in my free time also. And to the people putting their games out there, I would like a little input on where the line for good/bad turnaround should be. Until I get some feedback on the issue, the cutoff will be 4 weeks before you get added to the bad list.
I have included the games that have been rented as in some cases there may be extenuating circumstances that keep a game from shipping fast. This way if you have any questions about the length a game took, you can look up the thread for yourself.
EDIT: If you see that I have made a mistake let me know and I'll fix it. This is actually a lot of work to squeeze into my spare time and an occasional flub is going to happen. Thanks.
REMEMBER THAT A DELIVERY CONFIRMATION WILL SHOW WHEN YOU SENT A GAME AND COULD KEEP YOU OUT OF THE EXTENDED SECTION!
Some games are not intended to be quick rentals. They will be posted but marked as such. They also do not count towards your average unless the time is extremely unreasonable and the owner messages me about it.
I would just like to point out that some of the renters times have gone up recently due to the S.T.E.I Challenge. If making a decision on whether someone is a good risk or not, please keep that in mind.

That's why I'm keeping an average and listing all the games I can find for people. One speed bump in the road of life shouldn't put someone out there as a bad renter. This is to try to show a pattern of who is trustworthy and who is not. You look to have a great record. |

I mailed out Up within 2 days and it was 3 for the Kung Fu panda / Lego Indy (due to a holiday and gf forgetting to get postcards).
King Kong took me about 2 weeks though :( |

I would like to point out one thing: (And this is only mentioned, since games I have provided are being used as a "factor")
I don't necessarily believe that length of rental is a determining factor of a good or bad renter.
Based on that logic, I would fall under the bad renters, as I have had a few games in my possession for longer than I should have.
For my games, I consider communication and adherence to the rules as stated in the rental thread the driving factor for determining a good or bad user of this service.
I really don't care if a game sits with someone for a month, as long as the following are met:
The borrower is in communication with me, and responds timely to my inquiries.
The borrower is mindful of his/her schedule and the requirements of the game (if you are truly busy, pass it on for now).
The borrower provides complete and proper information as requested (now including Delivery Confirmation on all my games - Someone is about to get removed from my lists for this).
If someone is unable to finish (or even play at all) one of my games, I have no problem with them signing back up, and being added back to the list. (They may have more time later)
So, I like this thread. I like the idea and inspiration behind it.
I just have a slight disagreement with the presentation (that's the best word I could come up with) of it. (maybe call it quick borrowers vs extended borrowers? - honestly, you have a game available, so you are right to try to protect it how you see fit, and this is a good idea)

Thank you for your feedback. I totally agree with you about time not necessarily meaning good or bad renter. I made this thread to show who was a good risk but haven't really come up with a way to list things besides time in an easy to read orderly fashion. I'm am totally open to suggestions. I put a game out and the person so far has just kept it and has stopped communicating so I wanted a place for others to check and see how well people participate. I know that things come up that make it hard to get things done fast. I also know that some games just aren't quick games and I am still trying to figure out how to account for that. This thread is a work in progress and any ideas are appreciated. I find that most people here are pretty quick with the games and the ones that have them for awhile are pretty good with communication. So far I have only seen one person actually keep a game and stop communicating so as far as I'm concerned everyone in the blue list is a good risk. |

| I know that things come up, that money can be tight etc. but I even offered to have MeM AsSaSsiN send me my game back C.O.D. and I haven't gotten a response. He sent a message on Feb. 18 saying he was sending it out in the next few days and he hasn't responded since. I had decided that I was not loaning any more games but after starting this thread, I can see that he is NOT a good representation of the borrowing community so when I finish other games I will put them out there with him excluded from the list. |
