We should start a thread where people could post any special deals/promo codes on airline travel, rooms, rental cars, or anything else that might be useful. Just a place to keep them from getting buried in other threads, and to help people save a few bucks. BoZack hasn't posted lodging info yet, but we could certainly get some airfare deals listed.
Simple format, post the airline/rental car/etc, promo code, what it does, how long it's effective, and any restrictions you know of (i.e. online only, rewards member, etc)

Example:
Southwest, $49 airfare, effective Feb 30 for online bookings only, most airports.

| Looks like the Holiday Inn is going to give us rooms for $79/night. It is very close to the store and one of the nicer set-ups in the area (indoor pool, restaurant, etc). I am also going to get a comp room for a couple of the directors that are going above and beyond the call of duty. |

They quoted us the rate and they are working on blocking off the amount of rooms I thought we might need. I told them between 25 and 40 rooms, so I am guessing they will block of 40 of them. I think all that you have to do is call them and tell them you want to reserve one of the rooms blocked off for Achievement Fest.
We are putting together a travel page (that will probably replace the Location page) to get all of this in one section on the website. |

The Holiday Inn that we are working on rates is 1.2 miles:

Don't forget also that the local visitor's bureau is providing us with their 15 passenger van for the entire weekend and I will have drivers for the weekend. We can arrange transport from the airport over and back-and-forth from any hotel here in town. |

Holiday Inn is running a promotion where you can get a $75 prepaid mastercard card back for staying two weekend nights in one of their hotels this summer. I haven't looked into all the details, but you have to mail a registration form, a copy of your bill, and a rebate form after your stay. You also have to pre-register for the rebate before your stay. Seems like a decent offer.

That code was only good on Feb 30, you missed it. The $75 promo for staying at Holiday Inn is a good link. This isn't the thread for rick-rolls. |

Sorry, I posted this over in the hitchhiker thread, and swear I pasted it on this also, but maybe I didn't submit it. Here is what you need to do to get the good rate at the Holiday Inn below. For those coming with families this will also be ideal, as it has a nice big indoor pool area in the center of the hotel and it is right across the highway from the mall.

Figured out the problem on the rooms. Here is the process to book your rooms for $79/night which is a great rate for this hotel:

Tell them you are booking for Achievement Fest
It should also now work on the 800 number if you get transferred to their national phone. If you call during the day you can also ask for the sales office if there is any trouble. |

I just booked mine with no problems. First time I tried, they didn't know what I was talking about. This time, they had all the info, and were able to extend the rate to the Thurs/Sun nights for me as well. |

Worked for me too. It's probably easier to just ask for the sales office when you call, the gal there knew everything about the event. She even had the dates from Thurs/Sun, so no need to extend the rate for me.

| Well, I just booked mine, but I was only able to get it for Fri & Sat night at that rate. Sunday night would have been $109 she said. I may try calling again tomorrow and maybe get someone different that can give me the $79 rate for sunday night. |

| Yeah, call during the day and ask for the sales office. They have been extending the rate for Thursday for those coming in early I know. |
