Though if the user had 1000 in the Xbox 360 version and got 1550 from the PC version, 550 could count toward WRPG.
Multi-region shenanigans are just fine in pure-points competitions, but I feel like it would go against the spirit of this competition. Thoughts (particularly from Laus, since in the end it's his decision)?
This is good in principle, but hard to maintain with new games and genre splits. The way I have set up the code, the points scored for a game within that genre with count during the competition. So if you add a new game to a genre, you won't get credit for the points you already scored in the game. If a genre splits, the points you scored for that game, stick with that genre it was scored with.
I hope this aligns with Laus's point of view.
In previous years, it's been an admin nightmare to deal with genre updates and splits. |

We will play by the rules of Fshguy's code. Using the total genre score was indeed an admin nightmare anytime a game was added, moved, or removed. Because both Fallout 3 and Fallout 3 PC are both games included in the genre, I believe you can earn Buffet points even if you have completed the other version. (Perhaps I can now get some use out of my xbox version of the game!) I take it you could also buy all 7 versions of Scene It BLBS, score 100-200 points in each copy, and be done with the Party genre. |

I've always been under the impression that Sarah and her husband play games "together" on her tag. As in if her husband is playing a game on her tag then she is almost always sitting there with him. They don't "tag-team" in the sense of each of them playing separately for two 8-hour shifts each day. |

Okay, let me provide some clarification and elaborate on me and Thomas' gaming habits to hopefully close this can of worms.
LausDomini is correct with his impression - as in we are either playing together, or if I am playing here is there with me and if he is playing, I am usually in the room with him. Our current set-up is one xbox with one gold account, which obviously is pTartTX, and that has been the set-up since the purchase of our console in December 2009.
Gaming is something we both have in common, that is why our shared account has worked for us. For the majority of the time, we are both present during the gaming activity and it usually is a joint effort. For example, we both enjoyed the game Gun and literally took turns passing the remote back and forth playing the game. It is a joint effort where we are usually both present - not where I take an 8 hour shift and then Thomas comes home and plays an additional 8 hours by himself. Yes, there are times where we are not both involved, but for the most part, we maintain the same schedule. Additionally, most of our gaming occurs on evenings and on weekend like most working folk.
As far as said Terminator Salvation incident. It was one of those rare instances where we both weren't home. Thomas was actually on spring break that week, and while I was at work, he decided to pick it up and complete it. Also, we were not in a competition at the time of this completion. And obviously as life goes, there are going to be some instances where one is home and not the other. Even with this rare instance, it is still not the in the nature of a "tag-teaming" fashion.
As far as a "fair playing field," that is just impossible to have. It's not fair that some people are unemployed and have more time to play than others. It's not fair that some people have a higher disposable income and are able to purchase more games. Yes, I can see where my shared account would not be fair, but nothing in a challenge is ever going to be completely fair. So if my shared account is not able to participate, than neither should the unemployed or the wealthy.
Hopefully I have given some closure to this issue. I am done discussing this matter in the public forum. If anyone has concerns from here on out, they need to take it to me personally. Since LausDomini is the admin of this challenge, it is his decision whether pTartTX is able to compete in the Buffet Challenge.
EDIT: I put a space between one of my paragraphs |

I have removed the flames. I don't want to see anymore, please.
I know there is bad blood between members, leave it at that, and if you need to send harsh comments at each other, there is a nice e-mail member link on each person's blog page.
As with most 360voice sponsored events, the Code of Conduct and Terms of Service of Xbox and Xbox Live are a good starting point. During the very specific gamerscore reset that took place during a MEGA Challenge, Microsoft specifically stated that One Family on One Tag is perfectly acceptable.
Also, Laus, I am removing myself from the Buffet Challenge, should you ever need an impartiable judge for this event at any point, send me a message. |

| I would really like to participate in this. Sounds like a really good challenge, and great motivation to play some games I've been putting off. Am I correct that if you don't have 1000 points available in a genre, you just don't use that genre as one of your 26? |

As far as the main challenge goes, you're not limited to 26 genres. You could score 815 or so in all 32 genres to get the 26K. So if you wanted you could use the remaining points from Family towards your 26K total. |

| This is my first buffet challenge and I am excited to see what I can do. My question is can I play any game in a genre or is there a list of games that I have to play for my points to count. |
