Left 4 Dead writer Chet Faliszek has let loose with some intriguing details on the downloadable content for Valve's upcoming fast-paced zombie-tastic shooter for PC and Xbox 360. And yes, a flamethrower might be involved.
The company plans to add new scenarios to the game's initial 4, as well as new bosses and weapons. "There were strong hints at a flamethrower coming not long after launch," 1UP reported after talking to Faliszek.
The Valve writer also promised that the studio aims to make that DLC available more quickly than they have done with Team Fortress 2. It is unknown whether that content will be free on Xbox 360, as Valve's penchant for free content on its PC games has met with resistance from Microsoft when releasing new content on Xbox Live Marketplace.
For the Xbox 360 version, Valve plans to offer dedicated servers for Xbox Live players. Most Xbox Live games use peer-to-peer connections, which can impact performance depending on players' internet connections. While numbers for the servers were not given, Valve "did imply that they'd have everyone covered."

i would love to see dual uzi's in the dlc. maby dual sawn off shotgun's aswell.
flamethrower is a bit to much i think.
but would like maby a servival mode were you and 3 others ets bombarded by 1000's of zombies maby somthing along those lines :) |

That's what sucks about console games over pc games, you have to pay for DLC that is otherwise free on the pc.
MS decides how much the DLC will cost. Pretty lame. |

Survival mode is the ONLY thing missing from this game. That would be awsome. I don't like the idea of the flamethrower. I end up getting burnt alive online anyway with some people (me included) getting freaked out and just throwing a moltov thinking it's a pipe bomb and killing your own team. |

This sounds as if it could have WIN WIN WIN written all over it.
But I will be very unpleased if it's anything more than 10-15 dollars. But I would pay that much more just to get more maps to play on versus mode. |

| More content for Left 4 Dead would be awesome! This game is so much fun. Being able to do the other campaigns in multiplayer would be great. |

| I played this games in versus mode for the first time last night... It was almost disappointing to have to play the "human" side. |
