| That is the advantage to running an entire game off a harddrive and not a DVD. Playstation has the graphics advantage because they dump so much on the HDD that is why you really need the largest PS3 HDD. |

| the reason why they move a lot of stuff to the HDD is because blu-ray runs at a single speed... With a regular DVD you are able to slow, speedup and move the lens where you want to grab data freely... The blu-ray games need the hdd to take over some of the work-load so it can focus on the actual gameplay and make things a heck of a lot smoother... or else they would have serious load issues... |

I'm still not "WOWED". Especially coming from Sony, they lie and lie and lie and "screen" shots that they post have yet to come true.
The HDD option on the PS3 is pretty cool though. You can put in as big of a drive that you want, with out voiding any warranty. Also, when it comes to "real" games, like this one could be, I want a DISC. I want something that shows that I have it and makes it when PSN is long gone that I can still play the game.
Maybe thats just me though.... |

| @Vice... dont forget... most screen shots of games are heavily photochopped, cleaned up, and enhanced to make the best possible picture for release... Plus, just because graphics look nice, it wont take into account character movement, enemy logic, and all that other crap that goes into making games... |

Anybody remember the pre-launch pre-rendered videos of a revamped FF7 that Sony used to show off the graphical "superiority" of their console? Then they said that FF7 is not going be remade.

| I think the PS3 online community is terrible, they are not even on the same level as Xbox live. I turn on my PS3 every once and awhile to see what is new on the playstation store, and let me say...it is not impressive. Sony has gone way down hill and it's too bad. They need to refocus and get in the fight. Metal Gear will at least be worth turning the system on. Finally. I will not put any faith in Sony until they deliver a "must have" title. |

I remember the "dance" scenes on what was meant to be the PS2 hardware, when asked they claimed they were "controlling" the game, and that was in game graphics - I think it was FFIX and then the disappointment when the game finally came out and it showed tha was just a FMV and they had lied... that was the day i lost all hope in sony. Seems I was right to do so too. From then there has been so many lies and other rubbish as they try to sell using lies and fud.
Plus, those graphics dont look that amazing really? Only like CoD4, AC or maybe ME..... |

The reason why I haven't shelled out $500 for a glorified BD player. I will pick one up eventually play Uncharted and MGS but not for $500.

Actually I think they look fantastic! The atmosphere and lighting in the shots are dead on. I don't like the fact they PS these images [see photoshop wet darkroom tutorials].
If the game came out with decent mechanics I might go for the whole episodic thing. I can't wait for the Penny Arcade episodic content to come out and possibly the GTA episodic content to come out [though I think they will miss the whole point and just release more story missions calling it episodic content].
Looks interesting I'll keep my eye on it. I've got $500 in BB giftcards/store credit that is burning a hole in my pocket...but I think it's going to a Rebel XSI... |

I really wish M$ would come up for air, and allow for optional installations... Because seriously... if you don't have an hdd, than you're probably not playing anything that's too hardware intensive (see: rock band). |
