Seems Best Buy has an exclusive version of Metallica's upcoming album, Death Magnetic. If you preorder that version from Best Buy you will get a code for 11 downloads for Guitar Hero III. The list of which 11 songs is not posted http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?id=pcmcat159700050050&type=category

just hearing the first single off the album has me fearing the Metallica pack... the song starts off mellow but towards the end there's some pretty heavy shredding
I just hope that this doesn't turn into the same crap hitting the fan experience that the Disturbed DLC from Best Buy did... they ended up giving me $5 in credit and I just spent 3 buying the tracks =P but still didn't get what was promised.
But this does make me wonder how much the friggin' DLC is going to cost... it says special edition... but it seems like the only thing special about the Best Buy exclusive is the tracks... and that makes the price jump by $20?! so is the DLC going to be $20 or even more?? O_O
I'm also eager to see if GH's DLC is going to change to let you download individual songs now that albums are coming out. It'd be very lame if you have to buy a whole album or nothing.
Thats what I gathered from the link... the track list is the same, no detail about extra CD's or any other material other than the main page saying that the GH tracks came with it...
Can't believe they're also selling it in Vinyl... thats awesome, there's some albums out there that I really need to pick up on Vinyl like that.... I had load at one point I thought... red vinyl LP
