So this is my first go on giving a review. I hope to do this more often...been apart of the site but never went to the forums go figure.

Anyway....

Story

So the story is pretty decent. You start off as an orphaned kid and then something bad happens and then you get taken in by some gypsy lady. Next thing you know you are an adolescent and you start off your quest for revenge.

Decent story and that is scratching the surface as I don't want to give anything away. Along the way of playing the game you have your typical main quest that helps progress the story and you have your branching side quests. The thing that makes this different then other RPGs is that some of the quests affect your morality. For example you can choose to go lure people to their death or you can go donate your money. The choice affects your path.

Gameplay

The game is great fun. You can get yourself lost just exploring. Which is extremely easy to do. I did enjoy the "yellow brick road" that Fable gave which allowed you to go out and explore what Albion has to offer. Some of the concepts are fun like the personality choices that you can choose.

Co-Op was fun the times I played. I wish I could bring my character into the others game but I understand that I have to be just a henceman/woman. Found some lag which was unfortunate but that was only with a few games.

The one thing I have an issue with however it was very easy to change your path. Too easy I think. For example I slaughtered a entire town, made my self 100% Corrupt and 100% evil. Well I went and slept for a 24 hr period and then found a beggar and gave him a lot of cash and then just like that I was 100% good. So good concept but easily gotten around if you wanted to.

Another thing I need to mention is that I faced 2 glitches when playing the game. One almost caused me to have to restart the game and is a common glitch. Luckily I got around it but I was extremely mad when it happened. The second was when I was going for a achievement. Where I got the last expression needed for the Completionist I attempted to give it to my dog to get the achievement. Well the game paused and then 3 people died next to me and no achievement. I actually had to go a get some help on that one and the bodies are still lying there. Needless to say that a completed retail game that got delayed shouldn't have any glitches in my opinion. I understand that one might slip through but I have read about 2 game ending glitches which is awful.
Another thing that I had an issue with is that the hype was that your could hypothetically plant a seed and then come back and it will be a tree. In my experience that happened once. I had a child and no matter how many weeks I slept they wouldn't age. After I completed a story mission then they would age. I am finished with the game and I still haven't seen my kids age any more. Maybe this will change if I sleep for 52 weeks but I don't think so. Kinda disappointing in that aspect.

Controls:

Simple. Very easy to do a pick up and play aspect. The face buttons do a different action which makes it easy to string together combos between melee attack, range, spell. Even though the game has easy controls they offer a lot. The abilities can all be upgraded which I recommend you do ASAP as it adds to the things that can be done and makes fighting so much easier.

Graphics

The graphics are pretty. Very picture-esqe at some points. The characters are simple and it doesn't look like that big of an upgrade from Fable from what I remember but then I saw gameplay from Fable and its a lot better. There are some subtle things that are easily overlooked like Shooting the limbs off people. Expressions that the people make are great. Good times.

Achievements

The game has a good mix of achievements between story, side quests, and abilities. I do like that they make you go out and attempt the co-op to get a few. Some are a little too sandbox-ish for my taste such as getting keys. Kind of annoying but easily done when you attempt it at from the start.

Overall the good out weighs the bad. I really enjoyed the play through and see myself going back to play some of the side quests that I haven't finished yet. If you like RPGs then definitively check this one out. If you are shooting for the 1k expect some grinding and make sure you keep the achievements in mind from the start. Also you will need to play Pub Games if you don't have it you will have to find someone else to help with a few achievements.

Good review! I would get the game if I didn't already have it. lol So yeah, that co-op. It's fun, but you have to both stay on the same screen visually, even over Live, and the camera angles get wacky. My bro and I played locally, and he got to sign in and use his own character with all his skills. Then he got his choice of weapons relative to my own. That was cool. It still sucks that you're on the same screen. But yeah, great game overall.
