Xbox LIVE Arcade Gamerscore Policy Change
Starting next month (April 2012) all new Xbox LIVE Arcade games will have the option to increase from 200 to 400 Gamerscore points, with the addition of up to 30 Achievements. Even better, this Gamerscore increase will be required in all new Xbox LIVE Arcade games starting in June 2012.

I'm not sure if there's a strong correlation, plenty of arcade games have content greater than retail games.
Of course arcade games have been following your statement since the beginning, just the achievement counts and score haven't increased.
In any case, looks like I have some code changes to make. Will skew a few of our contests.
I wonder if this is part of the reason that Trials has been delayed. |

| Interesting. I just hope that most previously released games don't come out with a bunch of DLC! I think I will enjoy this change though. Hopefully it doesn't make completing arcade games much more difficult either. |

It's not, but the thought of even more achievements and 400 gamerscore makes me want them to shut up and take my money even more. Trials has been rumored pretty heavy for April, wonder if it will be one of the first. |

they really needed to take a look at the size limitations while they were reviewing this aspect of arcade titles.
I like the sound of this but it doesn't justify what everyone is guessing will be a price hike. |

Sadly that was a while ago....It doesnt seem like a bad idea but its just more achievements for us to get! |
