Well, that's unfortunate. I get the same 48 every time I check. Guess I need to change the schedule.
Wait till he confirms the count or maybe a phantom stamp shows up later today like we had last week with Karma.
He confirmed it in the group thread. |

| Checked it on my dashboard twice, 27 games, 48 achievements. A stupid math fail and lack of cushioning the build has done me in. |

That sucks. I had better start throwing in a couple extra from now on. I went like 25 days in a row only getting exactly what I needed.
I hate to see someone go out like that. I'd rather someone just dick around on their build day and not even come close. At least then you know they deserved to fail. |

| I throw in extra whenever I need to use more than 3 games. I'm an uber completionist. I wasn't supposed to need to build using more than two completed games. My brain doesn't like using that many games in a day. |

Yeah, with the house to myself this week, the whole idea was to bean dive all the games I hadn't played yet (crap I had a lot) to hit the mark, then spend the next day and rest of the week playing whatever I thought was going to be the most fun.
I guess now I still can do the same thing, but without the constraint of having to hold back easy games for build days. 300,000 here I come. |

| Oh my God! I feel so bad for Hotdog. I know he enjoyed this event. It's a shame it has to end this way. There's gotta be something wrong. I just can't see him going out like this. |

Interesting... Someone should probably be insulted by Lost in Translation's most recent brick drop. It could be Hotdog, because Lost in Translation thinks we are just as strong without him. It could also be Hamster Power and Fantastic Four because Lost in Translation thinks that we are still stronger than them.
When this is all over, I think everyone should be required to compare notes. There are some moves that teams have taken that seem like strategic mistakes. |

It can be viewed from many angles.
Could be that they still view you as a threat. Losing one player on a four person team isn't that much of an impact unless they were the strongest player. Once a team is down to one or two players then they're likely in a bit more trouble.
Could be that they are just adding insult to injury. Hey, the Jellies are one step closer to a complete catastrophe, let's kick em while they're down.
Could be they are just maintaining rivalries and maybe they owed you a few bricks from your previous drops on them.
This challenge has been full of surprises. Players I thought would likely be here at the end are no longer with us while players I thought would be out pretty quickly are hanging tough (NKOTB reference FTW!). Yesterday's events were a real bummer. Like I said I'd rather have seen someone not give a damn and fail than someone who gave a real effort but miscalculated. It's just proof that we're all getting tired and a simple mistake can be our undoing. |

| Quite a bit of drama! It's interesting for me to just observe this competition. You get a very different view of the goings-on when you're not a participant. |

| I would love to hear an outsider's perspective on this if you don't mind sharing. May not be to far from the truth. It could be completely off as well, but just wondering how others see it. |

Well, I think a lot of people are taking things very personally, brick drops being viewed as personal attacks rather than strategic initiatives to take the edge off some competition, or in some cases just having fun with folks.
Of course, I can't really blame people too much, I remember even when there wasn't really direct interaction with other teams, such as in HERBIE, feeling some degree of animosity towards other teams. When you get really into something like this for several months at a time (and it's gone on a lot longer than I thought it would!), you have a good amount of emotional attachment.
There's also the matter of reading tone over text. In some of the cases of people "complaining" or "whining", I can see that some of the posts may be simply discussing the issue, but it's easy to read more into some things than is actually there. And of course, when they get called on it, they then get defensive, and things just get worse from there.
In short...same thing that happens in every competition, but exacerbated by the fact that there are direct "attacks" of sort in this one. |

| Yep, seems about right. I just go until I cannot. The bricks have made this very interesting. Without them we would still be playing next year. Heck, still may be. |

As we all know, not all brick drops are focused on the teams with the most chance of winning. |

I think we should set up a makeshift Thunderdome at Achievement Fest and anyone taking this personally should be forced to enter and settle the dispute. 2 men enter, 1 man leaves... |

Thanks, now I got the Tina Turner song stuck in my head.
I'm sure at this point, teams are trying to secure a top 3 position at least, so if they see a weakened team, they might try to go in for the kill. |

Since there was a problem with my blog the day before, I am sure there will be one today and there is. This should be my count:
7 - Darkness II 10 - Kinect Star Wars 6 - I am Super! 7 - Kinect Rush:Snapshot 19 - Battleship
My blog is showing too many for Darkness II like mentioned before and not enough for Kinect Star Wars. Also, for some reason, my tower still shows me having to build at 46 instead of 47.
