LAFTA's Weekly Recap - Jun 17 2013
It is that time of the week. I got your weekly recap right here: Oh man are my cores just rocking... LAFTA played seven days last week! SEVEN! That is a NUMBER SEVEN followed by NO ZEROS! HOT! Our gamerscore jumped 290 points which was nice. Getting 14 achievements has that effect.
I was feeling a little bored last week and prodded LAFTA to try a new game: Rabbids Go Phone. It wasn't as cool as I thought it would be. Also, I think we can all agree that LAFTA's favorite game last week was Tropico 3. He played it on 5 of the days.
And that's all I got. I'm not a writer... just an Xbox.

Like I always tell LAFTA, gaming is like money... the more the better! So fill up my pockets baby! All that matters is that our gamerscore is 256,478 points and on the rise. That is a gain of 40 points over last time! He made some progress on Hell Yeah! acquiring 1 achievement, as well as basked in the glow of the awesome dashboard software! Oh wow, I also didn't realize that we have played 500 days in a row!
LAFTA also wrapped up a gamerscore challenge today. Remember? Guess who the big loser was? LAFTA... booo... oh well. we tried... came in at number 4. That's ok though... at least I got into some group-action against 9 other gamers... giggidy...

LAFTA is awesome! Just plain radical even... I say that because we played some games. Did you know our gamerscore is 256,438? That is an improvement of 20 points over last time! He made some progress on Halo 4, Rabbids Go Phone adding 2 achievements, COD: Black Ops II, and... hmmm... I forget what else we did...
Hey, I almost forgot! The gamerscore challenge that LAFTA is competing in is on day 4 and we're doing our best to win this thing. If you are curious, follow along over here. If I was you, I'd subscribe to the trash talk RSS feed for this one - 9 other competitors are battling with their skills and egos. Out of everyone, LAFTA is holding on to the number 4 spot. We've only got one day left. Let's cancel everything on our schedule from school to work to sleep (haven't been following what LAFTA does these days) and win this challenge!

LAFTA is the best... he treats me right, I treat him right. It is a good thing we have going here. Gamer score stands at 256,418. Not too shabby! That is a profit of 5 points over last time! He made some progress on Tropico 3 winning 1 achievement, and then... yeah... that was awesome...
This is really good stuff... the more we play, the more chances we have to leave TantricKoala in the dust. Call me crazy, but a 190,903 point cushion is not nearly enough for me...
I always like to end with a little bit about LAFTA and the ongoing gamerscore challenge status. Check out the progress right now! 9 other competitors are racking up achievements and powering up their gamerscores, hoping to secure a victory! Out of all those people, LAFTA is currently parked at number 4. We just have to keep plugging away at it for these next 2 days... insert game... push buttons... get points.

Like a king on his throne, LAFTA said 'awaken' and for him I did comply. 256,413 points represents the size of our growing kingdom. Ok, enough of this Monarchy stuff. That is a gain of 70 points over last time! He rocked out to Tropico 3 winning 3 achievements, and then he had to stop because we both couldn't take it anymore... we were spent.
I also want to mention/remind you that LAFTA is participating in a pretty slamming gamerscore challenge. Let me link you to the daily updates and trash talking. 9 other people are mixing it up, meaning fierce competition and some creative trash talk. Currently LAFTA is holding the number 4 spot in the group... decent. With 3 days to go, anything can still happen though... get on it!

My power supply almost exploded! LAFTA turned on the juice and we did some serious gaming! 256,333 points of total gamerscore is pretty good. Admit it. That is a gain of 140 points over last time! He rallied Rabbids Go Phone acquiring 2 achievements, Bejeweled LIVE, Tropico 3 winning 3 achievements, and did it while marvelling at the framerates and stellar particle effects.
Oh, also... we're probably going to see a lot more of LAFTA over the next few days as well. It is because he is in a gamerscore challenge titled 'Auto Challenge - #94325'. BRING IT ON!

LAFTA must have heard my calling... I was practically startled when his greasy finger pounded my power button. I mean come on... be a little gentle... I am fragile. Just some helpful advice for someone with a 256,193 gamerscore. That is an improvement of 5 points over last time! He rallied Tropico 3, Bejeweled LIVE, Rabbids Go Phone winning 1 achievement, and I think there was some random Live Marketplace browsing, but I wasn't paying attention.

Watch closely because here comes the recap... if you aren't paying attention, you might miss it: You can't ask for a better week than when LAFTA shows up to play Seven days in a row!! We really made it happen on the gamerscore front. An increase of 2885 points makes for a nice bounty. Those 21 achievements were worth it I guess!
If I had a DOLLAR for every new game I played during the week, I would have 2 bucks! w00t! I can now add Family Game Night 4, and Tropico 3 to my collection... unless they were rentals or demos or betas. I couldn't tell. Also, I think we can all agree that LAFTA's favorite game last week was Bejeweled LIVE. He played it on 6 of the days.
So that's it. Thanks for reading. PM us for a game or something. We get lonely.

That is an improvement of 120 points over last time! He opened up Tropico 3 picking up 5 achievements, Bejeweled LIVE, and after we were done, LAFTA hugged me with his eyes. It was one of those platonic hugs... you know...
This is really good stuff... the more we play, the more chances we have to leave MarcVicky in the dust. Call me crazy, but a 173,652 point cushion is not nearly enough for me...
Oh hey... also... I can't even believe that the gamerscore challenge formerly-known-as 'Auto Challenge - #94140' is over. Those 5 days flew by in a whirlwind of achievements and trash talk. Despite 5 days and nights of gaming goodness though, we couldn't take the lead and ended up finishing at number 3. But, there is always next time I guess... A special thanks to the other 9 people in the competion. Good times.

I thought LAFTA just wanted to listen to music or watch a DVD. Turns out he was there to game. With a gamer score of 256,068, I should have known that was the case. That is an improvement of 195 points over last time! That puts us above 256,000 points! He played Tropico 3 acquiring an amazing 9 achievements, and then he tried to watch TV, but I killed the power... If I can't have him, no one can.
Did I mention the gamerscore challenge that LAFTA is competing in? There's so much action in this one, you may pay for the whole seat, but you'll only need the edge!!111! Witness the spectacle. 9 other competitors are racking up achievements and powering up their gamerscores, hoping to secure a victory! Out of all those people, LAFTA is currently parked at number 2. While we're sad we can only compete for one more day, it means we can pull out all the stops to achieve complete victory!

LAFTA seemed really excited to play yesterday. Our current gamerscore is 255,873 . That is an increase of 210 points over last time! He rallied Tropico 3 acquiring an amazing 10 achievements, and yeah... wow... my processor hurts...

What time is it? Time to tell you about yesterday when LAFTA came to play. Gamer score stands at 255,663. That is a profit of 405 points over last time! He rallied CSI: Deadly Intent winning 2 achievements to master the game, Terraria adding 2 achievements to conquer the game, and LAFTA won't admit this, but I had to force him to stop. BTW, I have a special secret to share... ready? FREAKIN' 490 DAYS OF GAMING IN A ROW OMG!

LAFTA had to choose between watching TV and playing with me and I am happy to say I won... this time... Gamerscore is at 255,258 points. That is an improvement of 705 points over last time! Welcome to 255,000!! He rocked out to Family Game Night 4, Texas Cheat'em, and then LAFTA went to get some food. I told him to bring me back something but I got seriously dissed.

Have you ever wondered what it was like to play games with someone who has a gamerscore of 254,553? Well guess what... you will never know, and I do! LAFTA is mine! All mine! No touchy! That is a boost of 670 points over last time! That was enough to cross the 254,000 mark! Good stuff! He rocked out to Disney•Pixar Brave adding 1 achievement to complete the game, Bejeweled LIVE, and then LAFTA had to stop for a bathroom break or something... Humans really are bags of mostly water.
What is really good is that every day played is another chance to pull away from Dog of Thunder and that 129,187 score... Make it happen LAFTA!!
Also, I fully expect to become one happy 360 as LAFTA is set to begin a gamerscore challenge aptly titled 'Auto Challenge - #94140' today.

Consoles are for playing! I am glad LAFTA picked up on that yesterday... Gamerscore is a respectful 253,883 points. That is an increase of 580 points over last time! He rocked out to Bejeweled LIVE, and before I even realized it, he was finished and I was sad.

Do you know what time of the week it is? Time to talk about what happened these last seven days: You can't ask for a better week than when LAFTA shows up to play Seven days in a row!! Ready for this? Last week saw an increase of 1950 points! My eye almost bleeds looking at a number that large! Getting 94 achievements can do that to you. I was there. I saw it!
I was also pretty happy about the 3 new games this last week. They were (in no particular order) Ben 10 Galactic Racing, Disney•Pixar Brave, and Texas Cheat'em. I liked them. I think LAFTA did too. Also, I think LAFTA's favorite game last week was Bejeweled LIVE. He played it on 7 of the days.
And that is the news for now... Check back next week... same bat time, same bat channel...

I was about to feel sorry for myself, until LAFTA showed up and made my day with a little gaming! Our gamerscore stands at 253,303 and counting! That is a profit of 390 points over last time! We have now entered the 253,000 GS club! He made some progress on Texas Cheat'em, Terraria winning 1 achievement, Disney•Pixar Brave finishing an amazing 24 achievements, and oh... don't tell LAFTA this, but I have been dumbing down the AI lately... I am hoping it keeps him coming back for more! MUHAHAHA!
Oh hey, remember the challenge that LAFTA was in? It has come to an end. We may have earned an 'A' for effort in this challenge, but they don't give out very many points for effort, some... but not many... you gotta win... maybe next time! Someone once said, 'Winning isn't everything.' Although, losing isn't anything. LAFTA, I want you to think about this while you go sign us up for another challenge.

He rallied Farm Frenzy 2 winning 2 achievements to defeat the game, Sleeping Dogsâ„¢ picking up an amazing 7 achievements to master the game, Texas Cheat'em winning an amazing 6 achievements, Bejeweled LIVE, and yeah... wow... my processor hurts...
Oh hey, time for the gamerscore challenge update too... LAFTA still has that going on and stuff. Follow every up and down over here. 9 other people are also involved... which is madness. I told LAFTA 'Don't make me hurt you!' and the threat worked because he decided to show up yesterday. A gamer score of 251,528 is in our back pocket. That is an improvement of 110 points over last time! He opened up Bejeweled LIVE, Texas Cheat'em finishing 3 achievements, Farm Frenzy 2, Sleeping Dogsâ„¢ gaining 2 achievements, and oh... man was it ever sweet!
Good thing LAFTA and I got some play time in! Every day we play is another opportunity to pull away from Elem3ntal80 and that 216,330 gamerscore!
