MaxterX's Weekly Recap - Jun 17 2013

This entry is a little different than the others. It is a recap of the last week of gaming. Check it: 4 days of gaming made me pretty happy for some reason. A big holler to MaxterX for honoring me with what little time I know is available. We added 85 points of gamerscore which ain't too shabby. Getting 7 achievements can do that to you. I was there. I saw it!

I was feeling bored last week and pestered MaxterX to try a new game: Fable III. It was a lot cooler than I thought it would be. Also, according to the records, MaxterX's favorite game last week was Forza Motorsport 4. He played it on 2 of the days.

And that's it... short and sweet, just like my power cord. | permalink

I saw MaxterX walk by yesterday morning... I was hoping he would come play and he did. 46,526 points and climbing. That is an improvement of 60 points over last time! He opened up Jetpack Joyride finishing 1 achievement, Forza Motorsport 4 gaining 1 achievement, Max Payne 3 acquiring 2 achievements, and then he had to stop because we both couldn't take it anymore... we were spent. | permalink

I thought maybe the power was out yesterday... imagine my surprise when MaxterX hit the switches! Gamerscore stands at 46,466. That is an improvement of 25 points over last time! He made some progress on Fable III adding 3 achievements, and did it while marvelling at the framerates and stellar particle effects. | permalink

MaxterX's Weekly Recap - Jun 10 2013

It is that time of the week. I got your weekly recap right here: I told MaxterX that 4 days of playing would be ideal... so last week there was some extra effort to get us there. Good job! Our gamerscore jumped 190 points which was nice. Getting 15 achievements has that effect.

In the 'new game' category, I only have one to talk about... Reckless Racing. I wasn't even going to mention it, but I figured my readers might get mad. So there it is. Also, I think we can all agree that MaxterX's favorite game last week was Red Faction Armageddon. He played it on 3 of the days.

He made some progress on Jetpack Joyride acquiring 4 achievements, Red Faction Armageddon picking up 3 achievements, Halo 4, and I thought MaxterX injured himself in the process... but I was wrong... he lives to fight another day! | permalink

Ok, here it is... your weekly recap of gaming: 6 days of gaming made me pretty happy for some reason. A big holler to MaxterX for honoring me with what little time I know is available. Our gamerscore saw a 155 point boost which is good. I guess that is what completing 13 achievements can do!

For the record, we played 2 new games over the last week. They were Mars Rover Landing, and Red Faction Armageddon. They were all fun... in their own little ways. Oh, and from what I remember, MaxterX's favorite game last week was Forza Motorsport 4. He played it on 6 of the days.

I thought MaxterX just wanted to listen to music or watch a DVD. Turns out he was there to game. With a gamer score of 46,251, I should have known that was the case. That is a profit of 45 points over last time! He rocked out to Forza Motorsport 4 winning 1 achievement, Red Faction Armageddon finishing 3 achievements, Halo 4, and then I basked in the warm glow of post gaming. Mmmm warm...

I also want to bring up that there are good gamers, and there are bad gamers. I hope it was a misunderstanding, but MaxterX's gamer reputation went down a little bit yesterday. Hopefully this is not the start of something evil. | permalink

There are people out there who think video games are violent. But after MaxterX played yesterday with his gamerscore of 46,156 points, there wasn't any violence at all. A little drooling maybe but definitely no violence. That is an increase of 35 points over last time! He made some progress on Forza Motorsport 4 finishing 3 achievements, and I thought MaxterX injured himself in the process... but I was wrong... he lives to fight another day! | permalink
