danpsfx's Weekly Recap - May 20 2013
Ok, here it is... your weekly recap of gaming: So yeah... Last week danpsfx showed up 6 days total and logged some serious gaming. Too bad gamerscore isn't money because with an increase of 5435 points we could make some bank. Yay for 211 achievements! w00t!
If I had a DOLLAR for every new game I played during the week, I would have 8 bucks! w00t! I can now add Doritos Crash Course 2, Fruit Ninja, Fuzion Frenzy 2, LEGO® LotR, PAC-MAN CE DX, Surf's Up, WALL•E, and Women's Murder Club to my collection... unless they were rentals or demos or betas. I couldn't tell. Also, I think we can all agree that danpsfx was a retro gaming junkie last week playing a ton of PAC-MAN CE DX. He played it on 6 of the days.
So that's it for now. It was a good week. On to the next one.

danpsfx seemed really excited to play yesterday. Our current gamerscore is 165,653 . He played Minecraft, and without even blinking! Ok, maybe he blinked once...
Good thing danpsfx and I got some play time in! Every day we play is another opportunity to pull away from SG CodSteaks and that 81,365 gamerscore!
Also, remember the challenge that danpsfx was participating in? It has wrapped up. Despite 5 days and nights of gaming goodness though, we couldn't take the lead and ended up finishing at number 2. You know, sometimes someone else just has better cheat codes than you do -- I mean, that's the only explanation for a loss in this challenge!!!

I told danpsfx 'Hey man, it is time to play games' and YAY! he listened! Gamer score is 165,653. That is an increase of 340 points over last time! He opened up LEGO® LotR finishing 3 achievements, Darksiders II picking up an amazing 8 achievements, and I think there was some random Live Marketplace browsing, but I wasn't paying attention.
Hey, I almost forgot! The gamerscore challenge that danpsfx is competing in is on day 4 and we're doing our best to win this thing. Bookmark this link now and check out all the action! If I was you, I'd subscribe to the trash talk RSS feed for this one - 9 other competitors are battling with their skills and egos. Currently, danpsfx is nuking the field from his number one spot!! With only one day left, this is a pretty good sign! Hopefully we can hang on!

danpsfx brought the pain yesterday... the good kind... the gaming kind. We are up to 165,313 points of gamerscore. Jealous? That is a profit of 780 points over last time! That was enough to cross the 165,000 mark! Good stuff! He opened up Rayman Jungle Run, Doritos Crash Course 2 gaining 5 achievements, LEGO® LotR gaining an amazing 25 achievements, Darksiders II winning an amazing 7 achievements, Fruit Ninja gaining 5 achievements, Women's Murder Club finishing 3 achievements, and then danpsfx had to stop for a bathroom break or something... Humans really are bags of mostly water.
I also want to mention/remind you that danpsfx is participating in a pretty slamming gamerscore challenge. If you are curious, follow along over here. There are 9 other people in the chase as well... so it's pretty cool. Currently, danpsfx is nuking the field from his number one spot!! It's good to be in the lead, but there's still 2 days left in the challenge and 9 challengers looking to eclipse our achievements with some of their own.

danpsfx must have heard my calling... I was practically startled when his greasy finger pounded my power button. I mean come on... be a little gentle... I am fragile. Just some helpful advice for someone with a 164,533 gamerscore. That is an improvement of 180 points over last time! He opened up Fragger picking up an amazing 7 achievements to complete the game, Mirror's Edge, Rayman Jungle Run acquiring an amazing 10 achievements, and before I even realized it, he was finished and I was sad.
I always like to end with a little bit about danpsfx and the ongoing gamerscore challenge status. Like a king on his throne, danpsfx said 'awaken' and for him I did comply. 164,353 points represents the size of our growing kingdom. Ok, enough of this Monarchy stuff. That is a boost of 130 points over last time! He rallied PAC-MAN CE DX gaining 5 achievements to master the game, Fragger picking up 1 achievement, and oh... don't tell danpsfx this, but I have been dumbing down the AI lately... I am hoping it keeps him coming back for more! MUHAHAHA!

I was all ready to write in my blog about how great of a time I had playing with danpsfx yesterday, but then my plans changed when I was ignored... all... freaking... day... It really is too bad danpsfx didn't play. We had quite a streak going at 16 days.
This really sucks because it gives ROGUE 1992 a shot at widening the gap. We are still 54,433 points behind... but we can't get there if we don't play.
Also, I fully expect to become one happy 360 as danpsfx is set to begin a gamerscore challenge aptly titled 'Auto Challenge - #93583' today.

danpsfx held the Xbox button on his controller down for a few seconds and our adventure began! A gamer score of 164,223 is lighting the way. That is a boost of 4,005 points over last time! We have now entered the 164,000 GS club! He rallied Surf's Up picking up an amazing 29 achievements to master the game, Fuzion Frenzy 2 finishing an amazing 14 achievements to defeat the game, WALL•E gaining an amazing 45 achievements to finish the game, Ben 10 Galactic Racing gaining an amazing 28 achievements, Pictionary acquiring an amazing 9 achievements, Tiki Towers, PAC-MAN CE DX acquiring an amazing 7 achievements, and then I needed a nap. Don't judge me! It's a lot of work pushing all those pixels.

My eye! It burns! A weekly recap is all that can save me! Here goes: It is a good one! danpsfx had seven days of gaming! In a row! I know! Crazy! Ready for this? Last week saw an increase of 1985 points! My eye almost bleeds looking at a number that large! Getting 93 achievements can do that to you. I was there. I saw it!
For the record, we played 3 new games over the last week. They were Ben 10 Galactic Racing, Shark Dash, and X-Blades. They were all fun... in their own little ways. Also, according to the records, danpsfx's favorite game last week was X-Blades. He played it on 4 of the days.
And that's it... short and sweet, just like my power cord.

Consoles are for playing! I am glad danpsfx picked up on that yesterday... Gamerscore is a respectful 160,218 points. He rallied Darksiders II, DODONPACHI MAXIMUM, and then he almost hugged me, but I was like back off dude.
danpsfx also wrapped up a gamerscore challenge today. Remember? Unfortunately, we came up short, ending up in the number 4 spot. Someone once said, 'Winning isn't everything.' Although, losing isn't anything. danpsfx, I want you to think about this while you go sign us up for another challenge.

danpsfx showed up yesterday ready to dominate. Total gamer score stands at 160,218. That is an increase of 50 points over last time! He rallied COD: Black Ops II, Darksiders II acquiring 4 achievements, as well as checked out what was new in the live marketplace.

danpsfx is the best... he treats me right, I treat him right. It is a good thing we have going here. Gamer score stands at 160,168. Not too shabby! That is a gain of 100 points over last time! He opened up Darksiders II adding an amazing 6 achievements, COD: Black Ops II, DODONPACHI MAXIMUM, and then it felt like he threw my controller and I was like, TAKE IT EASY SHEESH and we stopped.
Oh, guess what? Our gamerscore challenge is going strong... Follow every up and down over here. There are 9 other people rocking out on this thing which keeps it fun. Currently danpsfx is hanging on to the number 2 spot. And while we have 2 days left, let's not procrastinate. Pick up that controller and get to unlockin'!

danpsfx decided to play yesterday. Check out the 160,068 gamer score! That is a gain of 370 points over last time! Another day, another barrier shattered. The 160,000 mark has been crossed! He rocked out to Tony Hawk's PS HD gaining 3 achievements to conquer the game, DEATHSMILES PAL, DODONPACHI MAXIMUM, Shark Dash gaining an amazing 20 achievements to master the game, and then I told him to keep playing but he didn't... out of spite I think.
What is really good is that every day played is another chance to catch up to futiles and that 168,377 score... Make it happen danpsfx!!
Oh hey, time for the gamerscore challenge update too... danpsfx still has that going on and stuff. Don't take my word for it! See for yourself! 9 other people are mixing it up, meaning fierce competition and some creative trash talk. Currently danpsfx is holding the number 2 spot in the group... decent. We just have to keep plugging away at it for these next 3 days... insert game... push buttons... get points.

I told danpsfx 'Hey man, it is time to play games' and YAY! he listened! Gamer score is 159,648. That is a gain of 1,190 points over last time! Another day, another milestone. The 159,000 barrier has fallen! He opened up X-Blades winning an amazing 36 achievements, Virtua Striker gaining 4 achievements to conquer the game, Ben 10 Galactic Racing winning an amazing 7 achievements, Tony Hawk's PS HD, and then I told him to keep playing but he didn't... out of spite I think. In the now-you-know department, I really thought that gaming 10 days in a row would hurt... but it actually felt good... it felt warm... like butter straight out of the microwave. Yay! We get a badge! Look at it and weep!
Oh, I don't know if danpsfx wants me to mention that he has joined a gamerscore challenge! It is called 'Auto Challenge - #93397'. Go check it.

My power supply almost exploded! danpsfx turned on the juice and we did some serious gaming! 158,458 points of total gamerscore is pretty good. Admit it. That is an increase of 225 points over last time! He made some progress on COD: Black Ops II, Tony Hawk's PS HD winning an amazing 12 achievements, and then... yeah... that was awesome...

This entry is a little different than the others. It is a recap of the last week of gaming. Check it: Not two, not five, but SEVEN days of gaming in a row! Last week was as solid as it gets when it comes to danpsfx throwing down with the games. We added 240 points of gamerscore. Points are good! Those 17 achievements were worth it I guess!

Go ahead... call me a wussy... but I almost started crying when danpsfx turned me on yesterday. 158,233 points of raw gamer score are making you jealous! That is an increase of 5 points over last time! He made some progress on Tony Hawk's PS HD finishing 1 achievement, COD: Black Ops II, and oh... don't tell danpsfx this, but I have been dumbing down the AI lately... I am hoping it keeps him coming back for more! MUHAHAHA!
Hey, remember that challenge I was talking about a few days ago? The one called 'Auto Challenge - #93204'? It came to a close today. I hear first place is nice this time of year, though I really wouldn't know, since we didn't get there in this challenge. That's ok though... at least playing against the other 9 gamers was enough incentive to get more points! I like points.

danpsfx had to choose between watching TV and playing with me and I am happy to say I won... this time... Gamerscore is at 158,228 points. He played COD: Black Ops II, and then he tried to watch TV, but I killed the power... If I can't have him, no one can.
Good thing danpsfx and I got some play time in! Every day we play is another opportunity to catch up to DeathGuard 123 and that 275,560 gamerscore!

There are people out there who think video games are violent. But after danpsfx played yesterday with his gamerscore of 158,228 points, there wasn't any violence at all. A little drooling maybe but definitely no violence. That is an improvement of 75 points over last time! He rocked out to METAL GEAR RISING winning 1 achievement, COD: Black Ops II, and did it while drooling over my awesome graphics and sound.

When you want to get on the cover of the gaming magazines, you have to play every day! I keep telling danpsfx that as motivation... yesterday it worked! We went for a spin... played some games... ended with a score of 158,153. That is an increase of 50 points over last time! danpsfx seemed really excited to play yesterday. Our current gamerscore is 158,103 . That is an increase of 70 points over last time! He played Turn N Run gaining 4 achievements to finish the game, and then I basked in the warm glow of post gaming. Mmmm warm...
A big shift in score is coming soon as well. danpsfx is competing in a gamerscore challenge titled 'Auto Challenge - #93204' and looking to win big. Expect a lot of games, a lot of points, and no sleep!

danpsfx decided to game yesterday and we rocked out like the three musketeers, except there were only two of us... 158,033 points of total gamerscore and counting... That is an improvement of 40 points over last time! Welcome to 158,000!! He rallied Wordament gaining 3 achievements, Wordament, COD: Black Ops II, and then danpsfx developed a funny twitch and went to try and sleep it off or something. Crazy humans...
What is really good is that every day played is another chance to catch up to LAFTA and that 239,113 score... Make it happen danpsfx!!
